I'm having a lot of struggle to write this... so sorry if this chapter disappoints you in any kind of ways :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Summer let out a long sigh as she looked at the calendar that was sitting on top of her working desk. It had been three weeks since she came home. All of the time she had spent by working really hard than before. She even had applied for an extra job in a publishing company. She knew really well she didn't need any extra job because she was paid really well in the current company she was working on but she needed the job to make her busy. Because of that way, her mind wouldn't be occupied with the thought of Calum.
Well, that was what she thought. And she thought wrong. Even with the busy schedule that she had now, there would be always a slight chance when her mind would slowly drifting to the thoughts of Calum. Everything around her would always remind her of him. Even if it was just a plate of bacons and eggs.
Summer let out another long sigh escaped her parted lips. She hated the fact of how he could change her world although they hadn't known each other for long. In five weeks, he was able to make her fall for him. In five weeks only and she still couldn't believe it how someone could do something like that. It was really unexplainable.
"Oi, Summer," Mark greeted as he walked to Summer's desk with a cup of coffee in his hand. "You look like shit," he chuckled as he ruffled Summer's hair.
She swatted his hand away and tried to smoothen her now frizzy hair. She scolded at her workmate. "Thanks for being honest," she murmured, slightly giving him a glare.
"I know. I wouldn't be the employee of the month if I wasn't being honest to everyone," Mark said and ran a hand through his golden brown hair.
Summer rolled her eyes and she averted her eyes back on her computer. When she looked at the time written at the right corner of her computer, she finally realized that she had been zoning out for almost an hour ever since she arrived at the office. There would be a meeting in less than an hour and Mrs. Hood had asked her to do some kind of report to be represented in the meeting and she hadn't done it yet because of her previous zoning out. She mentally scowled at herself for letting Calum invaded her mind.
"Alanna is throwing a party tonight," Mark said, sitting on Summer's desk. He knew that Summer really pissed when someone sat on her desk but he did it anyway.
Summer frowned and sent Mark another glare. He chose to ignore the warning glare that she gave to him. Summer sighed and just let it go. He was one of Summer's closest friends so she would just forgive him for this once.
"So, are you coming or what?",
Before Summer could answer, Mark interrupted her. "Actually, let me rephrase it for you. I think you should come to the party. Just think of it as an escape from the problem that you're facing right now," he said.
"You know that I don't like running away from my problem," she said with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, I know, darling. But from how you look right now, you look like you already did it- You're already running away from your problem."
Summer opened her mouth to give any kind of response but she couldn't find any. His words reminded her of what Sophie had told her yesterday. She was telling her that all she was doing right now was running away.

"Hey, Soph. I was thinking that maybe I should start a singing career like Taylor Swift- no, I can be like the second Taylor Swift, singing a lot of break up songs. What makes me different from her is the number of break ups that I've gone through is bigger than her that it should've been recorded in World Record," Summer said to Sophie as she laid on her stomach on her bed.
