Namjoon pov
"I must suck at this." Jin holds my hand across the table. "Of all the places I picked, it had to be a place with bad memories." His guilt makes me feel worse. I should have just told him as soon as I recognized where we were.
"It's not your fault." I clear my throat. "For a moment I thought I could put everything behind me but this proves I can't." Jin waits patiently for me to continue, not caring that his drink is getting cold. "I have to admit you're the first person I'm telling the whole story too."
"You can take your time." He squeezes my hand and I exhale.
"I met him at my cousin's wedding."
The ball room was full of warmth and cheer as couples took to the dance floor. My cousin was wearing the Cinderella ball gown she's talked about for years and her smile couldn't be any bigger. I was just happy to get out of school for a day. There's not much for a 17 year old to do at a wedding. I can't drink the champagne or go to the bar and I somehow got put with all my other little cousins and sister at one big table.
I'm not much of a dancer so that crosses that off the list. Plus, I only know my family members that showed up. All of my cousins friends are out of college and don't really want to talk to me and her husband's side is just full of strangers. I take a bite from the vanilla cake on my plate.
My sister is busy texting on her phone and all the other kids are laughing at some dumb fart joke. I roll my eyes, deflecting their immaturity away. "You must be lonely over here." A deep voice says. I look away from my plate and blush when I'm faced with a pair of black dress pants that are a bit too tight around a certain area.
I crane my head up and meet the most beautiful man I have ever seen. His dark brown hair is neatly brushed and his black eyes are piercing. His chiseled jaw takes my breath away and his pink lips are turned into a teasing smile as he takes an empty seat next to me. "Cat got your tongue?"
"Um...no." He chuckles, deeply and my heart skips a beat. "I don't know you- I mean what's your name?"
"It's Park Yeonsuk." He answers, "What's yours?"
"Namjoon. Kim Namjoon." I stutter and he takes my hand in his. "Uh..." My palms are sweaty and I really wish my nose wasn't itchy right now as I hold back the urge to scratch.
"Are you stuck on guard duty?" He jokes and I shake my head. He actually thinks I'm older. He must be at least twenty-four.
"No, I was placed here." I mumble. "I'm 17."
I expect him to let go of my hand, but it tightens. "I'm 25. You look mature for a 17 year old." His eyes slide down my body slowly.
I use my free hand to cover my mouth as I laugh, "No, I'm just bored." Yeonsuk lets go of my hand and places his on his knees.
"Want to help me to the bathroom?" He charms, "I think my old bones can't take the walk."
He flashes a pearly white smile and I find myself nodding my head, "Sure."
"He sounds gross." Jin sneers, "He perved on a minor."
"Yeah, but I was the dumb one that thought wow out of all the people here, this Adonis chose me." I add, truthfully. "I really regret that thought."
"So you went with him?" I take a sip from my mug and lick my lips.
"Yeah..." I pause, embarrassed to share what happened. "I went with him to the bathroom and after that we found an empty room..."
