Jin pov

Aside from face planting on stage, the day is going well. My mom and dad get along with Namjoon easily. As my mom took photos of me around campus, my dad and Namjoon would talk on the side. They seem to really be forming a nice bond with each other which is great. I was a little nervous that my dad would be uncomfortable around Namjoon.

To my surprise, he fully embraces the gayness and even said that Namjoon was welcome at our house at any time. By the time all of us took photos together...mainly my mother hugging me and pressuring Namjoon to kiss me, we were in need of a nice meal.

Now, I'm holding Namjoon's hand as we walk to the parking lot. After the long ceremony, my stomach is ready for the Italian food my parents are treating us too and I can taste the pasta already. Once we reach the parking lot, we start to walk to Namjoon's car, but my dad stops us. "Hey, let's ride together. We're all going to the same place."

"Okay." I answer and Namjoon sighs. "You alright?"

"Uh yeah." He kisses my forehead, "Let's put your cap and gown in my car. Don't want it to get dirty at the party later."

"Good call." I smile and follow him to his car. He unlocks the door as I slip out of the silky fabric. I'm reaching over to put the gown in the back seat when I catch a glimpse of a blue gift bag. My eyes light up a little, "Is that for me?" I lean over to get the bag and Namjoon lets out in-human noises, making me look at him like he's lost his mind. "What's the problem?"

"That's for later." He gushes while pulling me away from the door and slamming it shut. "Come on, your parents are waiting." I pout my lips and fold my arms from the disappointment.

"I can't wait until later..." His eyes soften as he scoops me into his arms.

"Trust me. I'd rather you have it after all the chaos of this party is over." I sigh into his sleeve and give in since he seems so adamant about keeping the secrecy a little longer. Now, I'm even more curious. I kind of expected him to have flowers for me after the ceremony and when he came empty handed...I was a little sad.

I'll admit, I am happier now that I know he didn't forget to get me something. "I can't wait for tonight."

"Me too," Namjoon smiles and holds my hand.

Our fingers fit perfectly together.

The dinner with my parents went well. The conversation flowed nicely and the food was excellent. I don't eat pasta normally, but when I do it's always good. I wish I could have taken a plate to go, but my mom thought I was being rude... I could have eaten it at the party.

I let the bitterness fade as Namjoon and I walk towards Suran's house. Apparently, she got her parents to leave for the night to throw this party for the graduating seniors. I'm pretty sure almost everyone is coming. It has high expectations to be the best party of the year and I doubt it will be anything less than.

Namjoon and I start to hear music a block away and the crowd of people outside gets more intense as we near. My mouth drops at the house. There's a huge lawn in the front with a metal gate. We can hear people on the other side dancing to booming music, but Namjoon and I walk over to the intercom.

I press the button and wait for someone to respond. "Who is it?" Suran's voice sings.

"Um, Seokjin and Namjoon." I wince when she squeals and the gate buzzes.

"Glad you could make it!" the intercom goes silent and we take that as our cue to walk inside. I'm speechless as people in swimsuits are sliding on the lawn's slip and slide while others casually talk with drinks in their hands.
