I often say hope is the way,
It keeps hurt at bay.
I believe faith keeps us from going astray.
I never knew until now,
That my belief was simply know-how,
Never did my head in complete surrender bow.
Hanging by a chord, suspended in mid air,
Every fragment of my being completely aware,
The knowledge of mortal danger in me did flare.
I chose this, thought it would be fun,
Being pushed off the cliff, I was more than done,
Mid-way I realized, everything one by one.
The valley seemed beautiful from that height,
I kissed goodbye to all my fright,
I wasn't petrified nor did I feel any plight.
It was then, in the middle of nowhere,
My heart thumping, willing to dare,
I discerned what it was to let my soul be bare.
Rationally knowing it could go bad,
It was the most pure feeling I've ever had,
My faith all of a sudden came unclad.
Is this what it is to surrender to him?
Each breath of mine, singing his hymn,
Euphoria in me filled up to the brim.
If this is not trust, I don't know what is?
A whisper in the air, past my ear did whizz,
I could fall from the sky, But I'm sure the hand to hold me would be HIS.
P.S. This is a true life experience account. I know I haven't done justice to what I felt while Zip-lining across one of the world's tallest mountain ranges, but here is a humble attempt!
I would like to dedicate this to everyone that's lost their hope or is on a crossroads... Life has a tendency to push us down, its how we stand back up and our faith that has the capacity to move mountains! Hang on in there <3
CarpeDiem_365 This is what I was talking about.. This is what I felt on my recent trip <3
