Carlos and Stephanie met in college, Carlos studying criminal justice and Stephanie in nursing. They became friends at first then they dated for 2 years and got married after graduating college. In the two years of marriage, Carlos and Stephanie wanted to have a family.
Carlos was working in a crime scene one day when he saw two 3-year-old twin boys named Joshua and Daniel in for foster care. Carlos and Stephanie talked and decided to adopt them. Everything was fine with a family of four then Stephanie found she was pregnant with Jessica. The twins were still three when Jessica was born. One year later, the twins were four and Jessica was one when Stephanie and Carlos adopted baby Destiny finding out she was abandoned by her own mother. Then the same year adopted baby Nathan and 1-year-old Jonathan whose parents left them in the park and never came back. One year later Stephanie got pregnant with Nicole. Two years later Stephanie got pregnant with Alex.
