"You're very blonde this time." The Doctor pointed out. He stood at the console, wiring the device we would need for our attack on the  Nestine Consciousness tonight. I sat in the jump seat, my converse clad feet on the console with a copy of The Great Gatsby in my hand. "Have you noticed?"

"No, I hadn't. I was too distracted by your gargantuan..." I trailed off, smiling at the sight of the Doctor's brand new and rather gigantic ears.

"Gargantuan?" he asked. "Gargantuan what?"

"Nothing, Doctor. Nothing at all." He strolled over, taking my book from my hand. "Oi! I was reading that!"

"Well, how about instead of stickin' your nose in a book at makin' snarky comments, you make yourself useful and fetch me the screwdriver." I rolled my eyes.

"Sonic or regular?"

"Regular." I reached down into the supply hatch, pulling out the screwdriver and holding it out to him."Thank you." He handed me my book back and I closed it, placing it tenderly on the jump seat.

"So basically, your plan here is to blow up the top floor of a department building? That's inconspicuous, is it?"

"It's not supposed to be. Besides, those silly little humans will just write it off as some kind of freak accident and mvoe on. It's what they do."

"Why do you call them silly little humans? They're intruiging if you ask me." He held his hand out and I handed him the pliers.

"It's a good thing I'm not asking you then." He replied. "There. All done. Now, let's pop off, shall we?"

"Why not?" I looped my arm through his and he slipped the device gently into his pocket.

"Fantastic!"

~~~
"Wilson?" The Doctor and I made eye contact. "Wilson, i've got the lottery money."
"How intruiging are your little humans now? Swannin' in, gonna get themselves killed."
"You saw the Chief electrictian." I whispered. "It's a bit late for that, don't you think?"
"Hello Wilson? It's Rose." I heared the squeak of plastic, insinuating that the conciousness had noticed the girl's pressence. Evidently her name is Rose and She's got the lottery money.  "Ok, you got me, very funny."
"Now is the time to come swooping in to save the day, is it not?" I asked.
"Hold on a sec. Wait for them to get closer."
"If she's still alive by then!" I hissed.
"Have a little more faith in your humans, Katherine. She'll run, human survival instinct, and there is nowhere else to run to except towarsd us." I rolled my eyes.
"Right, I've got the joke. Whose idea was this? Is it Derek's? Is it."
"Afraid not." I whispered. "Sorry."
"She can't hear you, there's no point in talkin' to her."
"It's a lot more appealing then talking to you, Mr. Know-It-All." I peered around the corner to see the girl a few feet from me. The mannequins raised theri arms to attack and I grabbed her hand.
"Run." The Doctor ordered. He grabbed her opposite hand and I released her, running ahead of them in the direction of the lift.  We ran inside, hitting the close door button. One of the mannequins wrenched it's arm inside, and I stayed back with Rose while the Doctor gave it a few good tugs before pulling it clean off, allowing the door to close and the lift to ascend. I chuckled.
"Ha. Isn't that Handy." The Doctor smiled amusedly at me.
"You pulled his arm off." The girl pointed out.
"Yup." I took the arm from the Doctor, throwing it the girl.
"Plastic." We said together.
"Very clever, nice trick. Who are they, then, students? Is this a student thing or what?"
"Why would they be students?" The Doctor asked.
"I don't know!" She exclaimed.
"You said it. Why do you think that way?" I asked.
" 'Cause...to get that many people dressed up and being silly, they gotta be students." I nodded.
"Solid Hypothisis."
"That makes sense. Well done." The Doctor praised.
"Thanks."
"They're not students." We said together.
"Whoever they are, when Wilson finds 'em, he's gonna call the police."
"Just for kicks and giggles, pretend we don't know who Wilson is." I told her.
"Chief electrictian." The doors opened.
"Wilson's dead." The Doctor said.
"Tact, Doctor!" I scolded. He took out his screwdriver, scanning the lift controls.
"That's just not funny, that's sick!" Rose exclaimed.
"It wasn't meant to be funny." I assured her.
"Hold on! Mind your eyes."
"I've had enough of this now-" She jumped as sparks flew from the controls. We took off down the hallway. "Who are you two, then? Who's that lot down there? I said, who are they?"
"To put it simply, they're made of plastic." I stated.
"Living plastic creatures."
"Being controlled by a relay device on the roof, which would be a great big wapping problem-"
"If we didn't have this." The Doctor held up the explosive device. He opened the doors leading outside. "So, we're gonna go upstairs and blow it up, and we might well die in the process, but don't worry about us, no." He guided her out the door. "You go home, go on and have your lovely beans on toast. Don't tell anyone about this 'cause if you do you'll get them killed." He went to pull the door shut, but I pushed it open again.
"I'm Katherine, he's the Doctor. What's your name?"
"Rose."
"Nice to meet you, Rose. Run for your life!" The Doctor exclaimed, shutting the door as we ran back up to the roof.
"This one's gonna be a doozy!" I shouted.
"Is there any other way to go?"
"No, suppose not. So do we have an actual escape plan." We made eye contact and then burst out laughing, running up the stairs. "Do you think she'll be ok?"
"She'll be fine. She'll go back to puttering around in her little human life and will forget this ever happened."
"You're lucky I'm not human."
"Why's that, then?" He asked.
"Because if I were, and I heared how condescending you sound, I just might go off and punch you in the face. But then again, I still might punch you, even with the two hearts."
"I'm looking forward to it."
"I'll bet you are."
