We came to a stop just below the London Eye.

"Think of it," The Doctor said, "Plastic all over the world, every artificial thing, waiting to come alive.  The shop window dummies, the phones, the wires, the cables."

"The breast implants."

"Oh dear...hadn't thought about that. That'd be a mess." I stated.

"Still, we've found the transmitter. The Consciousness must be somewhere underneath." Rose ran over to a wall.

"What about down here?" She asked. We ran over, seeing the maintenence tunnel entrance.

"Looks good to me." We rushed down the stairs to the entrance. The Doctor twisted it open, climbing down the ladder first. I followed him, my foot slipping on the third rung down. His hands caught my waist and he set me on the floor. "Gotcha."

"I know." I told him. Rose came down behind me and we went through a door revealing a maze of different platforms and a giant vat of orange glowing goo that was the Nestene Consciousness. "That's the Nestene Conciousness." I told her. "That vat, inside it is a living plastic creature."

"Well then, tip in your Antiplastic and let's go."

"We're not here to kill it. We've got to give it a chance." We ran to the edge. "We seek audience with the nestene Conciousness under peacful contract according to Convention fifteen of the Shadow Proclamation." It replied with a growl. "Thank you. If we might have permission to approach?" Rose ran down the stairs, spotting Mickey. The Doctor rolled his eyes and we followed her.

"Mickey, it's me. It's alright, it's alright." She hugged him.

"That thing down there, the liquid Rose, it can talk!"

"Oh, you're stinkin'! Doctor they kept him alive."

"Yeah, that was always a possibility. Keep him alive to maintain the copy." He replied, continuing down the stairs.

"You knew that, and you never said?"

"Sorry to interrupt, but could we please save the domestics for another time, thank you?" I asked, taking the Doctor's hand and dragging him downstairs.  We walked out onto the ledge. "Are we addressing the conciousness?" It growled. "Thank you. If I might observe, you have inflitrated this civilization by the menas of warped, shunt technology."

"So may I suggest with the greatest respect taht you shunt off? Oh, don't give me that! It's an invasion, plain and simple. Don't talk about constitutional rights."

"We are talking!" I shouted at it as it started complaining. "This planet is just starting these people are so early on in their development, but they're capable of so much more than anyone is giving them credit for. We are asking you, on behalf of those people, please just leave."

"Doctor!" Rose yelled. Two plastic people grabbed the both of us. I fought against them, my foot slipping on the edge, causing me to fall over it.

"KATHERINE!" I grabbed onto one of the chains hanging on the edge.

"I'm fine! I'm ok!" I called, looking down at the Conciousness.

"That was just insurance! I wasn't gonna use it!" They found the Antiplastic. "We were not attacking you, we're here to help! I'm not your enemy, I swear I'm not. What do you mean?' i heared something opening. I pulled myself up a bit to see the TARDIS. "No, no, no! Hoenstly, no. Yes, that's my ship. That's not true. I should know, I was there! I fought in the war, it wasn't my fault! We couldn't save your world, we couldn't save any of them!"

"What's it doing?!" Rose asked.

"It's the TARDIS! The Nestene's identified it as superior technology. It's terrified!" My hand slipped and I screamed, grabbing onto a bit of rope. "It's going to the final phase! It's starting the invasion. Get out Rose, just leg it, now!"  Electricity rose from the vat, breaking through the ceiling. I screamed, pressing myself closer to the edge. "It's the activation signal! It's transmitting."

"It's the end of the world." I heard Rose say.

"Get out, Rose! Just get out! Run!"

"The stairs have gone! I haven't got the key!"

"Just leave them!" I heard Mickey say. Then I saw Rose swing above my head, and the mannequins fall into the vat, along with the Antiplastic. The Doctor caught Rose from swinging, then both of them grabbed me, pulling me up.

"Now we're in trouble!" I shouted, grabbing their hands and taking off running. We got into the TARDIS and flew away as fast as we could.

~~~
The TARDIS landed and Mickey flipped out, running out as quickly as he could. Rose walked out casually on her mobile phone, unbothered by it. She's a natural.
I leaned against the door, and the Doctor stood behind me, my back pressed against his chest. Mickey pointed fearfully at us and Rose turned around.
"Nestene Consiousness? Easy!" The Doctor said, snapping his fingers.
"You two were useless in there! You'd be dead if it wasn't for me." I nodded.
"Yes, we would." I agreed. "Thank you."
"Right then...we'll be off. Unless...I don't know. You could come with us."
"This box isn't just a London Op, by the way. It goes anywhere in the universe." I told her.
"Free of charge."
"Don't," Mickey whined, "They're aliens they're...they're things."
"He's not invited." The Doctor replied. "What do you think?"
"You could stay here...base your life around working and food and sleeping or you could go anywhere you could possibly imagine...or can't imagine."
"Is it always this dangerous?" She asked.
"Yeah." We said together. Mickey got up onto his knees, hugging her like a clingy child. "Yeah, I can't. I've um...I've gotta go and find my mum, and someone's gotta look after this stupid lump so..."
"Ok." The Doctor said after a moment.
"See you around."
"Rose Tyler." We said together. We stepped bac inside, shutting the door. The Doctor walked over to the console and started to leave, when I stopped him.
"Go back." I said. He complied and I opened the door, sticking my head out.  It was clear from where they were standing that they were in the process of walking away. "Right...did we mention that it's also a time machine?" She smiled, turning towards Mickey.
"Thanks."
"Thanks for waht?"
"Exactly." She kissed him on the cheek before turning and running into the TARDIS. I shut the door behind her.
"Welcome aboard the TARDIS, Rose Tyler."
"You've changed your mind?" The Doctor asked. She nodded. "Fantastic!"
