We ran to the back door of the cabinet room, the Doctor unlocking it with the sonic. Harriet grabbed the briefcase and the Doctor opened the front door to find the aliens. I snatched the sonic from his hand and a bottle of alcohol from the table by the door.

"Take one more step and I'll use this sonic device to triplicate the flammability of this alcohol, and nobody makes it out alive, not even you. So I'd back off if I were you." The Doctor placed a hand lightly on my lower back. They took a step back. "Alrighty, then. Let's conduct a little interview, shall we?"

"Who exactly are the Slitheen?" The Doctor asked from behind me.

"Is that what they are?" I whispered. He nodded.

"They're aliens." Harriet said.

"Yes, we got that, thank you Harriet Jones." I replied.

"Who are you two, if not human?"

"Who's not human?" Harriet asked.

"They're not human." Rose told her.

"They're not human?"

"Could we have a bit of hush?" The Doctor requested. "So, what's the plan?"

"But he's got a northern accent."

"Lots of planets have a north."

"I said hush!" I held up the alcohol.

"Come on then, Slitheen. Space ship hidden in the North Sea, a spaceship that's transmitting a signal. You have managed to murder your way to the top of the government, but for what? And invasion?" I questioned.

"Why would we invade this godforsaken rock?"

"Get on with it then."

"Something's brought the Slitheen race here, what is it?" The Doctor added. But then it hit me. I'd heard of them before.

"Doctor, Slitheen isn't their species." I said.

"What?" I nodded.

"Yes, I've heard of them before. I can't recall where, but I've definetly heard the name. They're a family."

"Jocrassa Fel Fotch Pasameer-Day Slitheen at your service." One of them said.

"So, you're family." The Doctor repeated.

"A family business."

"Then you're out to make a profit. How can you do that on a godforsaken rock?"

"Uhhh...excuse me, you device will do what? Triplicate the flammability?"

"Yes, of course, making to so that one small movement with send the place up in flames." I lied.

"You're making it up."'

"Oh well, nice try Katherine." He took it from me.

"Harriet, have a drink, I think you're gonna need it."

"You pass it to the left first."

"Sorry." He handed it to Rose.

"Thanks."

"Now we can end this hunt, with a slaughter."

"Aw, I thought we were getting along quite nicely." I said sarcastically.

"Don't you think we should run?" Rose asked.

"Downing Street has a fascinating history, doesn't it Doctor?" I asked.

"Why yes, Katherine. Two thousand years ago, this was marshland. 1730, it was occupied by a Mr. Chicken. He was a nice man. 1796, this was the cabinet room. If the cabinet's in session and in danger, these ae about the far most safest walls in the whole of Great Britain."
