"Mummy? Please mummy? Mummy?" The recording continued to play, and I suddenly got a very weird feeling.
"Doctor?" Rose asked.
"Can't you sense it?" He asked, looking at me. I nodded.
"Sense what?"
"Coming out of the walls. Can you feel it?"
"Mummy?"
"Funny little human brains. How do you get around in those things?"
"When he's stressed he likes to insult species." Rose explained.
"Rose, I'm thinking!" The Doctor stated.
"He cuts himself shaving, does half an hour on life forms thinks he's real clever then."
"There are these children, living rough around the bomb sites. They come out during air raids looking for food."
"Mummy, please." I heard a weird flapping sound.
"Suppose they were there when this thing, whatever it was, landed."
"It was a med-ship, it was harmless." Jack said. I furrowed my eyebrows, walking back over to the window and peeking at the tape recorder. The tape was out...but the voice was still talking.
"Doctor." I started.
"You keep saying. Harmless. Suppose one of them was affected, altered."
"Altered how?"
"Doctor!" I said. He looked at me. "The tape player has run out of track."
"So?" He asked.
"So...if the tape player hasn't been playing for the past two minutes...why is the child still talking?" We all looked at each other.
"I'm here." the voice said. I gasped.
"I sent it to it's room!" I exclaimed. I pointed at all the pictures on the wall and the bed in the corner. "This...this is it's room."
"I'm here. Can't you see me? I'm here now, can't you see me?" I whirled around to face the window again and saw the child standing there.
"Are you my mummy?" The Doctor put a hand on my shoulder.
"Mummy?" The Child tilted it's head to the side, looking at me.
"Doctor?" rose asekd. The Doctor pulled me lightly away from the window, into his chest.
"Ok...on my signal, make for the door." Jack said. "Now!" He pointed something over the Doctor's shoulder, only to reveal that it was a Banana. The Doctor took Jack's blaster out of his pocket, blasting a hole in the wall.
"Go, now! Don't drop the banana!"
"Why not?"
"Good source of potassium." Jack grabbed my waist, hoisting me out of the hole. Jack took the gun, closing the hole again.
"Don't touch her again." The Doctor warned. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Digital rewind. Ncie switch." He tossed the Banana back to the doctor.
"It's from the groves of Villengard, thought it was appropriate."
"There's really a banana grove in the heart of Villengard? And you did that?"
"Bananas are good." Suddenly the wall dented out as the child tried to break through.
"Doctor!"
"Come on!" He grabbed my hand, pulling me down the corridor. Suddenly the doors at the end of the hall opened and all of the Gas Mask zombies came flooding towards us. We ran the other way, only to be cut off on the other side by more of them, trapping us right in front of the broken wall.
