Rose called Mickey and started talking to him.
"Is she alright though? Don't put her on, just tell me." She stated. So Jackie is with him. Before Rose could answer the Doctor took the phone from her hand, pressing it to his ear.
"Is that Rickey? Don't talk, just go to your computer."
"Why should I?" I heard Mickey ask.
"Mickey the idiot, I might just choke before I finish this sentence, but i need you." I took the phone from him.
"You can do it for me and not him if that would make you feel more comfortable."
"For you, Katherine? Anything. What do you need?" I passed the phone back to the Doctor, who passed along the instructions to go to the UNIT database. "It says password."
"Say again?"
"It's asking for the password."
"Buffalo. Two Fs, one L." The Doctor replied.
"So what's that website?" Jackie asked.
"All the secrets known to all of mankind. See, they've known about aliens for years. They just kept us in the dark."
"Mickey, you were born in the dark." The Doctor shot back.
"Leave him alone." Rose and I said together.
"Thank you. Password again."
"Just repeat it, every time. Big Ben. Why did the Slitheen go and hit big ben?" The Doctor asked.
"You said to gather the experts, to kill them." Harriet Jones chimed in.
"That lot would have gathered for a weather balloon. You don't need to crash-land it in the middle of London."
"The Slitheen are hiding, but then they put the entire world on red alert. What would they do that for?" I tied my hair up into a high ponytail. The Doctor smiled. He knew the ponytail meant I was thinking.
"Oh, listen to here." Jackie said bitterly.
"At least I'm tryin'."
"I've got a question, if you don't mind. Since those two walked into our lives I have been attacked in the streets. I have had creatures from the pits of Hell in my own living room, and my daughter disappear off the face of the earth."
"I told you what happened." Rose replied.
"I'm talking to them! Because I've seen this life of yours, the both of you, and maybe you get off on it, and maybe you think it's all clever and smart but you tell me, just answer me this. Is my daughter safe?"
"I'm fine." The Doctor and I glanced at each other. Both of us knew the answer. We both had plenty of experiences, not just with Rose, but with everyone else who had ever traveled with us to know that she wasn't safe...to know that we wouldn't always be able to save her. But we can try.
"Is she safe? Will she always be safe, can you promise me that? Well what's the answer?"
"We're in." Mickey's voice was what saved us from answering the question that the Doctor, Jackie and myself already knew the answer to.
"Now then, in the top left corner, there should be a tab, it's got an icon with little concentric circles. Go ahead and click on that." I instructed, putting my hands on the table.
"What is it?"
"The Slitheen have got a spaceship in the North Sea and it's transmitting that signal. Now, hush, let us work out what it's saying." The Doctor told him. "It's some sort of message."
