As soon as the door was shut, the Doctor turned to me.
"Thanks. That was very brave of you." He still didn't realize who I was.
"No problem. Lots of experience." he nodded, looking away then doing a double take.
"Katherine?! What are you doing here?!"
"This is where you left me...twenty minutes ago. So much for that break." I told him. "They can't get in. Old windows and doors."
"Ok...the older something is, the stronger it is. What else?" One of the creatures screeched as it flew past the window. "Go and check the other doors. Move!"
"What's happening? What are they?" Jackie asked, following the Doctor. "What are they?!"
"There's been an accident in time." He answered.
"A wound, if you will." I shouted across the room, checking the doors on the other end. "They're like bacteria, and they're taking advantage of it."
"What do you mean, time? What are you jabbering on about time?"
"Oh, I might've known you'd argue. Jackie, I'm sick of you complaining."
"How do you know my name? I've never met you in my life!" She shouted.
"No, and you never will unless I sort this out. Now if you don't mind, and I've waited a long time to say this, Jackie Tyler, do as I say. Go and check the doors."
"Yes, sir." The Doctor smiled widely, looking at me and I nodded walking back over to him.
"I should have done that ages ago." The groom made his way over to us.
"My dad was out there."
"You can mourn him later. Right now we've got to concentrate on keeping ourselves alive."
"My dad had-"
"There is nothing I can do for him-" The Doctor interrupted. I held a hand up so the back of my hand touched his chest.
"He's talking about the phone." I took it from his hand, holding it up. "It keeps repeated the first phone call. Alexander Graham Bell." The Doctor took the phone, pressing it to his ear. He smiled.
"I don't think the telephone's gonna be much use."
"Someone must have called the police."
"Look at those things! Sweetie, I don't think the police are going to be of much use." I told him.
"The police can't help you now, no one can. Nothing in the universe can harm those things. Time's been damaged and they've come to sterilize the wound." He walked over to Rose, sharing a knowing look.
"By consuming everything inside." I added, eyeing them warily.
"Is this because..." Rose trailed off. "Is this my fault?" The Doctor walked away from her, and I stepped up beside her, rubbing her back.

I sat at the front of the sanctuary with Rose. She was crying.
"I don't think the Doctor's going to forgive me this time." She sniffed. I shook my head.
"Yes he will. If it were anyone else, maybe not, but...I think he's got a soft spot for you." She smiled tearfully. "I'll talk to him. We'll fix this and he'll come around. Don't worry."
"How do you know?" She asked.
"I know the Doctor probably better than I know anything or anyone. Trust me, he'll get over it." Pete Tyler came out of the back room, walking towards us.
