"Hold that one down!" The Doctor instructed.

"I'm holding this one down!" Rose shot back.

"Well, hold both of them down!" I was already holding down three buttons, one with each hand and another with my foot.

"It's not gonna work!"

"Oi! I promised you a time machine, and that's what you're gettin'. Now, we've seen the future, let's have a look at the past. Katherine? Any ideas?"

"1860. How does 1860 strike your fancy?"

"What happens in 1860?" Rose asked.

"How about we find out, eh?" I replied.

"Hold on, here we go." The Doctor pulled the switch and we took off. I fell from my precarious position and back into the Doctor. He attempted to catch me, but ended up falling to the floor, taking Rose and I with him. The TARDIS landed and we all just laid on the floor, laughing.

"Blimey!" Rose exclaimed.

"Telling me! You two alright?" The Doctor grabbed my hands, pulling me off of the floor.

"Sorry. I was only on one foot, how was I supposed to remain standing?!" I pointed out. "Rose?"

"Yeah. I think so. Nothing broken." She got up and I went to the monitor, the Doctor peering over my shoulder. "Did we make it? Where are we?"

"I did it! Give the man a medal." The Doctor exclaimed.

"Earth, Naples, December 24th, 1860." I read off. The Doctor put his hands on my shoulders.

"That's so weird. It's Christmas." The Doctor gestured to the doors.

"It's all yours."

"But it's like...think about it though. Christmas, 1860, happens once, just once and it's gone, it's finished, it'll never happen again. Except for the two of you. You can go back and see days that are dead and gone, a hundred thousand sunsets ago. No wonder you never stay still."

"Not a bad life we've got." I replied, leaning back against the Doctor.

"Better with three." I smiled. "Come on, then!' She started running towards the doors.

"Oi, oi, oi! Where do you think you're going!?" The Doctor shouted.

"1860."

"Dressed like that? They wouldn't know how to function." I told her.

"There's a wardrobe down there, first left, second right, third on the left, go straight ahead, under the stairs, past the bins, fifth door on your left. Hurry up!"

"I'll take you. Not everyone can remember a bajillion instructions rapid fire like that." I said, looking back at the Doctor. He smiled at me and I winked, following after Rose.

I tugged at my dress as we made our way back to the console room.

"Stop fidgeting, Katherine. You look beautiful. You're going to blow the Doctor's mind." I shook my head.

"Don't think that's possible." When we got back into the console room, the Doctor was below the grates, fiddling with the sonic. He looked up when we came in.

"Blimey!" he said.

"Don't laugh."

"You look incredible...considering."

"Considering what?" She asked.

"That you're human."

"Well then...what about Katherine?" She stepped aside, allowing the Doctor to see me.
