When I woke up, it was dark. There was something cold and met pressed up against my forehead. I reached up and touched it to find that it was a rag, and there was a hand attached to it. The light came on, revealing that I was in one of the TARDIS bedrooms. The Doctor was sitting beside me, holding the cloth. He removed it, putting it in a bowl on the table beside the bed.
"What...what happened?" I suddenly remembered and bolted upright, being met with an awful headache.
"Slow down. Take it easy." The Doctor told me, gently pushing my back down again.
"What happened? Is everything alright? Where's Margaret-"
"Everything is fine." He said softly, putting a hand on my face. "She looked into the heart of the TARDIS. It turned her into an egg, so she could start over. We dropped her off in the hatchery, and closed the rift. Everything is fine." I nodded. "You've got a nasty bruise on your neck, though." His fingers brushed down my face, touching my neck lightly. "I should've listened to you. It was my fault you got hurt...again. I'm so sorry." I shook my head, grabbing his arm.
"Everyone's ok, Doctor. I'm ok." He sighed.
"I heard your conversation. With Jack." I furrowed my eyebrows. "Well, I heard your thoughts, actually." I shook my head, attempting to sit up again, a lot slower this time.
"Ignore that. I was upset, and-"
"She was wrong." He cut me off. "I would never, ever leave you behind. And if for some reason it did happen, I would turn the universe upside down trying to find you. I can't live without you, and not just because you're the only other Time Lord." He grabbed my face, looking into my eyes. He looked desperate. "It's because I love you with all of my heart. You make me a better person, you open my eyes to things, and I am not better off without you." I bit my lip, looking down at my lap. I nodded.
"It's the same with me." He smiled, gently pulling me forward and pressing h is mouth against mine.
~~~One Day Later~~~
I woke up, lying on the floor. I sat up, holding my head, which felt extremely fuzzy, and I suddenly couldn't remember how I'd gotten here.
"It's alright. The transmat can screw you up a little bit." A male voice said.
"Transmat, what? I can't remember..." I trailed off. "Where am I?"
"The Bachelor." He answered. "I don't know why they're entering new constants this close to me making my final decision, but...you are beautiful." He looked down at my body, and I followed his gaze to find I was wearing a red velvet dress, that was rather short, and had the shoulders exposed.
"What the heck am I wearing?" I asked. "Or more importantly, where the heck is the rest of it?" The guy laughed.
"You're funny. I will definitely be taking you on a date ASAP."
"Date?" I asked, looking back up at him. He grabbed my hands, pulling me to my feet. "My ankle...my ankle was sprained before this, how is it fine now?"
"That's the transmat again.Let's not worry about that now. We have to get to the rose ceremony. I think they'll give you immunity since you haven't had much of a chance." I furrowed my eyebrows as he lead me into a room with three other girls, all dressed in similar, and in some case more revealing dresses.
"Who is she?"A blonde girl asked. "They can't just bring in new contestants this close to the end." My eyes scanned over all of the other girls, and I noticed they all had one thing in common. They looked absolutely terrified. The guy nodded to the others and I walked over, standing beside a short girl with red hair.
