2. The attention

She was probably the only one panicking right now. No one but her, found the fact Junmyeon just greeted her for the first time in the life so openly, weird.

She must have been standing there like a statue for way too long, staring at the boy with a cooking apron, because that's what the other two finally noticed. Her brother turned his head around, his cheeks stuffed, making him look like hamster and Bora who was preoccupied giving Sehun disgusted stares, up until now, followed Sehun's lead and looked at Jihye.

"Why are you standing there like that, come and eat, we are late because of you lazybum!" Bora prompted her.

Jihye forced her lower extremities to move, walking slowly towards the table in the middle, trying her best not to look at the person, who didn't bother to divert his gaze away from her, since she entered the room.

She shivered uncomfortably, just wishing to get out of here right now.

"I'm not hungry really, we can go now Bora. We won't be late at least," she mumbled quickly, turning around on heel and escaping the room, feeling those eyes on her, until she ran around the corner, right out of the house through the front door, she saw him coming in last night. She shook her head furiously.

"Wait up. Flash. God, what is up with you being so eager to get going now? Slow down will you? The bus is leaving in ten minutes, we still have time!" Bora shouted at her, as she kept her killer pace on. Bora finally caught up with her, giving her suspecting looks. When she didn't react, Bora took her by an elbow, stopping her at once.

"What happened?" Jihye didn't have to really say anything and Bora could sense something was up with her. It was one of those things that happens between long term friends. It was alright, but annoying at the times, she just wanted shut down and don' t talk about anything. Like for example right now.

She shook her head, avoiding her friend's eyes.

Bora kept studying Jihye's face.

"Did you have bad dreams again?" Bora whispered. Jihye met her eyes, smiling sadly. This girl knew her so well, even though the reason for her being this flustered were partly the events of last night. The nightmares never stops bothering her. When Bora came to have a sleepover, it tended to get better, but not entirely. So, she just nodded her head to confirm Bora's concerns, seeing the pity already forming in her friend's eye.

"I have an idea, what if... perhaps after classes we went to your favourite place?" The spark in Bora's eye itself made her feel much better. Even though she didn't have that many friends, she could call herself rich with what she had.

"That... sounds like the best idea ever," she gave her small grin to convince her that she will be okay, as always. They needed to walk a few more yards down the road, so Bora hooked up on her arm, prompting them to walk again.

But before they could even make three steps, they heard car honking at them. They both snapped their heads around, to find car stopping by the curb right next to where they were standing now.

That was when she almost had a heart attack the second time since she woke up. She knew the car very well, because it was parking on the driveway of their house almost on daily basis. Above that she got to ride this car on few occasions, but only as an invisible, unimportant passenger.

She watched the window on the passenger side slide down, seeing the stupid face of her brother grinning at them and then another face more pleasing to look at, which was leaning forwards to look directly on her.
