T'Challa x Requested Reader: Hard Times

   COURTNEY'S POV

  I said,"T'Challa, you're overreacting. It was just a challenge."

  My husband and King of Wakanda, T'Challa, had gotten challenged by another leader from another tribe for my affection, which he didn't like. T'Challa looked like he wanted to find the guy and throw him over a waterfall, yet he also wasn't listening to me.

  T'Challa chuckled and turned to me saying,"Overreacting? He practically challenged me three times, just so he could look at you. If any man wants your attention that much, I have every right to be upset about this. Now, you listen to me, my love, you will-"

   I immediately yelled to T'Challa, cutting him off,"NO, YOU LISTEN TO ME, T'CHALLA!! YOU'RE MY HUSBAND AND I MADE A VOW TO LOVE YOU TILL DEATH DO WE PART, SO YOU ARE OVERREACTING!! I KNOW MOST COUPLES DON'T DO THAT, BUT WE'RE NOT MOST COUPLES!! I LOVE YOU AND SOME GUY FROM A FOREIGN TRIBE WON'T CHANGE THAT!! WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR YOU TO TRUST ME?!!"

  T'Challa got in my face and yelled back,"IT'S HARD, BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T ALWAYS WHO YOU SAID YOU WERE, JUST LIKE MY FATHER!! HE TOOK A BOY'S FATHER FROM HIM AND LIED ABOUT IT! KEPT IT FROM ME!! YOU'RE NO BETTER THAN HE WAS!!"

  I looked down and sighed saying,"T'Challa, you know I would've told you the truth-"

  T'Challa cut me off saying,"But you didn't. You acted as if you loved me, but then you were working for Erik. You knew what you were doing and I fell for it."

  Tears formed in T'Challa's eyes as they did in my own.

  I said,"T'Challa, but I do love you. That..That was a long time ago. We've..We've been through this."

  T'Challa had tears falling down his face and he walked out saying,"You know, I'm sorry I care so much about losing you. I'm sorry I sometimes hesitate on trusting you. I don't mean it. I've just had a lot going on."

  I went to go after T'Challa, but I knew it would have been better for me if I didn't. I sat back down and let my tears fall down my face.
  T'Challa was right. How could I expect him to be so understanding with me, if I played him the first time we were together? It was not even that long ago, but my mistake had caused T'Challa and I to have a strain in our relationship. Obviously, it wasn't that bad to keep us from getting closer, but he always seemed like he hesitated with me on certain things.

  I wanted him to not do that, because I knew most women would leave if someone did that to them. I didn't want to give up on T'Challa; especially, because I love him so much.
  After about 30 minutes, I walked out and went to find T'Challa. He was talking to Shuri, but she may have already known about our argument. Shuri nodded to me and walked out, leaving me with T'Challa.

  T'Challa looked down, but then back up at me saying,"What do you need, Courtney?"

   I held back a sob and replied,"I..I want you to forgive me and tell me you love me."

  T'Challa walked up to me and said,"Why?"

  I rested my hands on T'Challa's face and broke down saying,"Because I don't want you to lose faith in me. I want you to stay my husband and continue to be here for me. I want you to forgive me for what I did and help me get better. I want you to tell me you love me, so that I know everything will be okay."

  T'Challa pulled me in for a hug and rested his hand on the back of my head.

  He shushed me and rocked us from side to side.

  I buried my face in his neck and T'Challa said,"Courtney, I love you, and I always will. I will admit, it's been hard seeing past what you did, but it's time I stopped holding that against you. I forgive you, and you'll always be my queen. You'll always be my wife. No other woman will take that title from you. You have my word. I'll always be here. As king, that is a promise."

  I looked up at T'Challa and he kissed me slowly. I kissed back and T'Challa continued to rock us. When I pulled away from the kiss, T'Challa just held me and reassured me that we would get over this. That we would do our best to move on and think positive. Look past our own mistakes, or our ancestors, and start finding solutions.
