Ch. 10.

Demi's POV.

These past few weeks,Nick and I have been getting to know each other better,he is a very sweet guy,he is really talking to me like a normal person,he has such a nice heart. He's actually pretty funny once you get to know him.

"So can I ask you something?" he asked me, as I helped him prop his arm up,"It depends." I smiled at him,"What makes you....um insecure about guys?..If you don't mind me asking..." he looked at me with his brown eyes,"Um...well..let's just say I thought this guy really liked me...we got to know each other and one day I saw him with another girl." I checked his sugar.

"Ouch,how harsh." he said,"Yeah.." I nodded,I still think about him regularly,if it would just of been a Mexico fling or something more because we totally had stuff in common..

"But it--never mind,we're not talking about personal lives." I nodded,"You're sugar looks good,Nick." I smiled, then my mind went back to that night in Mexico, when I lost trust in men.

I froze when I saw Joe & some cute blonde, walking hand in hand across the sand. They were headed to his hotel, it seemed & I decided to follow him until I couldn't anymore. Why was I mad? We hadn't committed to each other. But I was still hurt, seeing him with this girl. I saw him spin her & felt my heart ache with betrayal. She stopped at one point to kiss him & he didn't pull away. He kissed her back with quite a bit of passion. So he was like every other guy out there. Tears filled my eyes as I watched them walk again & disappear into his hotel. I turned & started walking home.

I ran into my hotel room, tossing my jacket onto the couch. "Whoa what's wrong?" Juliana asked,"Boys suck. I'm never falling for a boy EVER again!" I crawled into my bed and cried. I thought he liked me,I thought he wanted to spend more time with me. I was wrong,why did I let my guard down!? I should of known he was just like the others.

I shook my head, ridding it of that horrible memory. I needed to forget about him. I'd never see him again & even if I did, it's been a long time. I needed to forgive. "I'm going to clean your dishes." I got up from the couch,"Dee,you don't have to do that." he told me,"I want to..It'll give me something to do." I laughed as I got my butt off the couch,I climbed over Nick's legs that were stretched out. I went to turned on the dishes.

Suddenly a girl walked in,"Hey Anna." I heard Nick said,"Hey Nick,so you know I'm here to talk about your brother's wedding." she chirped,"How could I forget? He's my brother." Nick laughed,"Well,I got everything set up,the arrangements and the theme and the destination...Your brother said you'd give me the addresses.." I kept listening.

"Yeah,I wrote them down for you..they're on that coffee table,behind the lamp." Nick said,"Awesome great,news from the bride is that she wants everyone to come with a date...but I'm sure if you bring a friend with you,it'll be fine."

A good 30 minutes past and that girl finally left,"So your brother is getting married?" I smiled,"Weirdly,yes. Kind of glad he moved on,he was upset about his girlfriend breaking his heart,and this girl that made him fall hard that never showed. He was so hung up for her,she just never showed,it got ridiculous." Nick said,"Ah,poor him. What's his name?" I smiled.

"I thought we don't do personal conversations." Nick smirked,I giggled,"Right.Forget I ask."

Joe's POV.

"Great,dude..Could you just move to your left a little?" I asked the person who I was photographing,"Sure." he scooted,"I said left,not right." I sighed,"Oh,is that the opposite from the way I scooted?" he asked.

This person certainly doesn't know his left and right,I took a deep sigh,"Yes." I said,he then scooted to this left,"Perfect right there." I said,I then started snapping pictures of him with the scenery,"Yes,perfect!!" I smiled.

My phone started ringing,"Babe,take over." I handed my camera to Chloe and I walked out to the side and answered,"Hello?"

"What the fuck,dude?!" Nick spat,"Oh hello to you too." I rolled my eyes,"Anna came over and she told me I have to have a date for the party!!?" he started spazzing out,"Okay,calm down,dude." I sat on a bench,"I tried to change Chloe's mind about that,but she kept getting mad,so I let her do whatever, but it doesn't have to be a date,dude...it could be a friend,like you could invite one of your dudes...or.." I ran my hand through my hair,"Or what?"

"Shhh...." I shushed him,"Dude,I don't have time for this!" he said,"Who's that singing?" I heard,"Oh,it's Dee." I could tell Nick was smiling,"She's amazing,dude. You need to sign her on your label,She's great!" I smiled,I saw Chloe coming down and sitting next to me.

"I've already been working on that." he said,"But what are we going to do about your engagement party!?" Nick became a frenzy again,"Dude,I got an idea!" I smiled,"Ask Dee to be your date!" I sat up,kind of proud of my idea,"Dude,she's uptight when it comes to dating...this asshole played with her heart and the next day she saw him with a girl." Nick said.

"Wow.." I was surprised,"But Nick,I didn't mean it like a date,I mean ask her if she would like to go to your brother's engagement party as friend's...I really want to meet this girl that makes your heart rumble." I smirked.

"Good idea,dude. So glad you're improving your smart skills." he said,I faked laughed,"Well,thank you." I rolled my eyes,"Well,I'm going to let you get back to work,tell Chloe that I said hey." he said,"Alright,I will. Bye bro." I hung up.

"What did he want?" Chloe smiled,"Nick says hey. He went all frantic because Anna told him that he had to have a date for our engagement party,but I think I solved it." I nodded,"That's my detective Joe." she giggled,"Ha,funny.." I pecked her lips,"So how did the pictures go?" I took the camera from her.

"I need to edit some...or we couldn't use these,because...the guy...he kind of stinks." Chloe smiled,I laughed,"We could caption it,'Man that doesn't know his left and right.' " I smiled,making her laugh,"I think if we edit his face a little bit,it could work.." I looked through the pictures,"What the fuck!!" I started cracking up,"What?" she giggled,I showed her the picture of the guy with his shirt off,showing his big beer gut.

"I told him to do something spontaneous....he took it to the next level." Chloe laughed,"Yeah,let's not use him." I got up,"Ready for dinner?" I put my arm around her,"Yes,please."she smiled.

I couldn't wait to marry this girl and start my life with her,she's amazing,I also can't wait to meet the girl Nick has been gushing about. I laughed as I remember something,I took my phone out,"Remember to ask DEE not PATRICIA." I texted to Nick.
