Somebody to You

Ch.14.

Demi's POV.

There he was. Joe. I stood in shock. I saw Nick look at me,then he looked at Nick,I think maybe he realized it too. "Hey Nick,hello,you mus--" he turned towards me,"Demi?!" he raised his brow,Nick looked confused,"Um,hey Joe." I bit my lip lightly,I would of never thought Joe was Nick's brother,but  now that I got them both together,they look familar.

Awkwardness filled the air,I saw Joe scan my hand that was in Nick's,"I'm going to get us drinks.." Nick headed to the drink table,"Um,well congratulations." I pulled on a smile,"Thanks...how are you?" he asked,looking at me,"I'm good,how are you?..." I fiddled with my fingers. "I'm good.." he bit his lip,trying to find what to say. 

"Look,why weren't you there that day we said we would meet?" He had to ask,I saw Nick come back with two drinks,"Something came up.." I headed to Nick,"Thank you." I took the cup from him and took a sip,he took my free hand,"Come on ,I want you to meet my family." he smiled,he led me to these two older adults.

"Mom.Dad.This is my girlfriend,Dee." Nick smiled in pride,"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Jonas." I smiled,trying to shake this Joe thing off,I glance over at Joe playing with a litle girl which looked like 4 or 5,I looked down,"Those are my cousins,Jackson,Sarah,Lindsey and Jason." Nick smiled,"They're cute." I smiled a little,"It's going to be okay." he reassured me,he layed his lips on my knuckles,I smiled a little,I glanced at Joe. 

"I have to go pee...be right back." I handed him my drink,then I headed to the bathroom.

Joe's POV.

"I'm going to find Aunt Chloe." Sophie,my soon to be niece, dropped my hand and ran off,I glared at Nick,he was having a good ol' time. He was chatting it up with a bunch of Chloe's guy friends. I headed to him,"Can I talk to you? Outside?" I looked at Nick.

"Yeah sure." he put the drinks down and we headed outside of the hotel,I pushed him,angrily,"How could you fucking lie to me?! You guys  are just friends?! Ha,hilarious!" I pushed him again,mad,"Friends don't hold hands and get all cozy next to each other. You stole my woman!"  My mad eyes landed on him,irritably.

"Your woman?! Have you forgotton you are engaged to a beautiful woman inside this hotel!?" he pointed to the hotel,I could tell he was getting mad too,then his facial expression changed,"You're the one night stand!" he pointed at me.

"What?" I raised my brow,"If we're calling each other names,then you're an asshole." I crossed my arms,furious,"You're the one night stand guy in Mexico!!!" Nick glared back at me,I then realized what he was talking,"It was only a 'one night stand' because I couldn't find her. We discussed we would see other on that Saturday,but she never showed." I sighed.

"She told me she saw you with another girl." he glared,he talked about me? That rat. I gasped,shocked,"Brooke..." I rolled my eyes,"It was that girl you made me hook up with because you were mad I was "hung up" on Demi.This is all your fucking fault!" I pushed him again.

He then grabbed my arms and held me back,"My fault?! How the fuck was it my fault?! You were 22,you were a big boy." Nick scoffed,I rolled my eyes,"You got me mad! Dammit,I should of put my damn foot down and told you no,then I would probably be the one I'm marrying...instead of you being with her. You're just using her,huh!?" I glared.

"Oh my God. If I had a dime for every time you have said that about a girl, I could retire. But whatever. If I were you, I'd be trying to bang every girl in this bar. But, I'm not you & you certainly aren't me. You, unlike me, couldn't have any girl you wanted. I understand your wanting to be with one girl, because you don't know how to turn on the charm to get in their pants." Nick was smirking, hoping he had egged me on enough. It worked and I hated how he had always done this to me.

"There is no one like her...not even Chloe can compare.." I looked at the grass,"I think you are being a bit ridiculous! You're engaged! You honestly can't think you had something going on  with a vacation fling." Nick said.

I looked down,upset.

"You have no idea how she made me feel...you don't know what I went through after Mexico...I had her big laugh stuck in my head,I still do...her big wide smile...showing her beautiful teeth..how she would listen to every word,every sentence you had to say...how she was so warm and welcoming towards me..You don't understand all the jokes she told me and I laughed at everyone of them,cause they are funny..I will never forget her smile,that laugh...and those legs...those long sexy tan legs...I know it's bad to be thinking about all those things when you're with another girl,but you don't know how she made me feel...you might of known her longer then I known her for those three days,but it felt like I've known her forever..I was going to ask her to come back with us..." I stared at the hotel door,then at Nick,he was looking down at his feet.

"I'm sorry....but I love her." Nick spoke,I looked up from the ground and my eyes landed a glare from him,"You had your chance and you blew it. She saw you on the beach with Brooke...You let her go..and now she's mine." he had this little smirk on his face," It's your fault I was with Brooke." I spat,"I didn't force you to take her back to your hotel room." Nick said.

I closed my fist and swung it at Nick,cause him to move back a little,"You..." Nick was fixing to take a swing,"NICK!! Don't hit him." Demi ran out,Nick glared at  me,he slowly dropped his fist,he turned around and Demi had already got in a car with someone else,I looked at him,then I rolled my eyes,I headed inside,back to the party. 

Nick and I headed back to the party. There was tension between us because everytime we caught a glimpse of each other,we would glare,I think Chloe knows what's going on. I sat down at the table for our dinner that her mother picked out for us. Chloe placed her hand on my thigh and whispered,"Are you okay?" she looked at me, I gave her a small smile and a sligh nod. I wasn't really in the mood for this party anymore, or in the mood to talk.  Who has engagement parties anyways!?

For the rest of the party,Nick and I didn't say a word,I don't even know why he stayed, but he did. He stayed away from me,and I did the same. He stayed talking to our side of the family,where I was staying with Chloe and her side of the family,we gave each other a few glances here and there. I wasn't very active during the party.

It was around ten o'clock when the party ended,I got on the car with Chloe and we headed home,I stayed silent, because I didn't feel like talking to anyone stiil. As we were driving home,all I could think about was Demi. How she looked...she looked stil so beautiful. She still had that beautiful smile of hers,unforgettable.

When Chloe and I got home,we headed straight to bed. I was laying in bed,watching some television,why Chloe was getting ready for bed. Chloe came out of the bathroom and climbed ontop of me,she began to kiss my neck,I pushed her off lightly,"I'm not in the mood,babe." I turned off the tv. "What happened at the party?...between you and Nick?" she stroke my hair,I bit my lip,"Let's just say...he stole something from me...and  broke a rule in the brother handbook.." I sighed. 

"Aw baby.." she kissed my cheek,"It's sort of like a Kardashian story...gone way wrong..." I sighed,she giggled lightly,"I'm going to go to sleep,night Chlo." I kissed her cheek,then I moved myself under the covers and turned off my lamp.

The morning,I was the first one to wake up,I woke up with Demi on my mind,and I pictured that scene I saw when they walked into the hotel. They were hand and hand,Nick was smiling big,but Demi had a nervous expression on her face and when she saw me,it seemed like she was scared of me..

I got up out of my bed and walked out quietly,so I wouldn't wake Chloe up. I headed to our office and I sat down in the chair,I pulled out the pictures I have taken of Demi when I was in Mexico and I just looked at them. I shouldn't be doing this. I mean I'm engaged to a girl. Do I love Chloe? I stared at the pictures,I remembered all the good and fun times Demi and I had...she was the girl that made me forget about Cami. 

I stared at the pictures for a few more seconds,I sighed,I picked up my phone and dialled up someone,I put my phone against my ear,hearing it ring,I sighed at the antipation.
