Ch.48

We got to the hospital. On the way there, I called our parents that our babies were coming, so they were on their way. My parents would get here before Chloe’s,just because her parents lived a bit out of town. I went to the waiting room to visit my parents because Chloe isn’t very dilated.

“So you nervous?” my mom grinned, “A bit,but I am more excited. I want to see my daughters!” I had a smiled glued to my face since we got here, “I’m excited to see them too. Why isn’t your brother here?”

I wanted to tell them what happened,but I know they would encourage me to forgive him and I am not in a place to forgive him for what he did. “He’s staying with Damon.” I held in my anger. “Alright. How are the twins.”

“The ultrasound showed that they are good for vaginal birth. “ I nodded, “Great! That’s fantastic!” my mom was ecstatic for some reason, “Yeah, “Have you decided names? Please tell me you have decided names.”

“We have.” I smiled big, “But you have to find out later. I should get back there. I’ll see you guys soon.” I headed back to Chloe, “There you are!” Chloe took my hand, “Sorry,love.” I kissed her knuckles, “How you feel?” I looked at her,even when she in such pain,she looked beautiful.

“Like fucking daisies.,Joseph.” I wasn’t really sure if I was excited to be a father to two girls or that Chloe’s smart mouth will be over with. “I’m just trying to relax you.” I sighed, “Well,it was feeling like I was being ran over by a train,but they just gave an epidural,so it should work in second.” she smiled up at me, I gave her a reassuring smiled as I brushed back her hair.

“Wait,how long was I gone?!” she giggled a little, “I’m serious,you weren’t dilated that far to get an epidural.”

“The doctor said twins are faster...or something like that.” she rubbed her face, “I’m just so scared.” she squeezed my hand, I kissed her cheek, “Don’t be. Just imagine,you’re going to be a first time mom to your very first children...you have these two beautiful girls in your hand and you will realize the pain is totally worth it..you’ll forget the pain and you’ll focus on the love and adoration these babies will have for you.”

“I love you,Joseph.” she puckered her lips for me to kiss her, I chucked and bent down and gave her a kiss. The doctor came bursting through the door along with the midwife. “You’re ready,Mrs.Jonas?” she slapped on some gloves.

“It’s time already? Really?” Chloe put her head up, “I think the contractions stopped, I believe it’s Braxton Hicks.” I chuckled.

“I believe it’s not. You’re going to do just fine,Chloe.” she sat on her stool,between her legs, “Joe!!” she held my hand tight, “Chlo,babe, it’s going to be alright. Remember what I told you.” I kissed her knuckles.

“Are you numb?” she asked, “Yes,Doctor.” Chloe kept squeezing my hand. She looked at the monitor then between Chloe’s legs, “You ain’t ready yet,but very close.”

I really want to see my babies.

Another 10 minutes and now it was time for Chloe to give birth. “You ready,baby?” I pecked her lips, “Let’s see our babies.” she gave me a smile. I laid my lips on her forehead, “Let’s do this.”

I took her hands and the midwife propped up her legs and the doctor slipped on clean gloves again, “Okay,Mrs. Jonas, let’s practice some pushes. Push for me,babe.” Chloe threw her up and started pushing,and squeezing my hand tightly.

“Good job, one more time.” the doctor encouraged,so Chloe did it again.  

“Awesome,now push for real this time.1..2.3..push!” Chloe started pushing,holding my hand very tight, I knew I wouldn’t be able to feel it tomorrow. “C’mon babe, I know you can do it.”  I gave her a grin, she let out a small scream.
