Ch.24

Joe

Today was the day Chloe got to meet Damon,and she has been a little nervous. I looked at her,fixing herself in the mirror,I laughed a little.

"He's two...he doesn't care what you look like." I kissed his cheek,"But...I hope he likes me..." Chloe fiddled with her fingers,"He'll like you,you'll like him and we'll be a happy family. Don't worry." I smiled,"Now I need you to do something for me." I took my camera.

"What?" she groaned," Pose to your side,I came up with a very cool idea. Every week,I'll be taking a picture of you,so we can see how much your belly changes." I smiled,"Or a very corny idea." Chloe smirked,"Chloe,come on now..." I pouted.

"Fine,weirdo." she stood to her side and smiled as I took the picture with my Polaroid and the picture came out,I grabbed a sharpie and wrote down,"7 weeks." 

I grabbed the basket and we headed to the car,I got the basket in the back and climbed in,I started driving to Demi's. "So his name is Damon? Is there a nickname?" she tied her up in a ponytail. "Nah,I just call him bud..So you can call him Damon,or buddy."

I got out of the car,"Stay here,babe." I headed to the door and knocked,Demi went and answered the door,"Hey Joe,come in." she smiled,I walked in,"Damon is packing some toys,it'll be a minute." she smiled.

"So are you sure,it's fine that Chloe tags along with us..I mean she needs to meet him sometime..." I shuffled my hair,"Yeah,it's fine." she smiled,she was cleaning the dishes,"She's pregnant..." I bit my lip. She dropped the plate on the ground and it shattered,"Oh my,I'm so sorry!" Demi went to grab the broom and I helped her sweep it up.

"Anyways,congrats. You'll be a great father." she smiled,"I hope...I'm just worried." I threw the plate scrapings in the trash,"About what?" she leaned over the counter,"About Damon." I whispered,"Once this baby comes...I don't know how frequent I can see him...I don't know if Chloe would appreciate me leaving her with a newborn..."

She nibbled on her lip,"Right...but we still have many months left...We'll think of something,he'll understand." Demi smiled,I nodded,"Yeah,that's true..." I crossed my arms,"Another question,how long did you have mood swings?"

She giggled a little,"I hate to break it to ya,but I was very hormonal when I pregnant,maybe Chloe is different,I don't know. I can't really help you." she shrugged. "Well,thanks." 

"Daddy!!!" Damon headed downstairs with his bag,"Hey,dude!" I smiled,I picked him up,"I missed you so much!" I smiled,"I missed you too,daddy!!!" he hugged me,I put him down,"Go say bye to mommy." I smiled.

"Bye mommy. I love you." he hugged her then ran back to me,"Let's go." I took his hand,we headed out and I got him in his carseat,"Who's that?" Damon pointed to Chloe,"Well,Damon this is my girlfriend...her name is Chloe. Chloe this is Damon." I smiled.

"Hey cutie." Chloe waved,"Hey Loe!" Damon waved back,I laughed,I got in the car and headed to the park.

I held Damon as Chloe carried the basket,"Is this a good place?" Chloe asked,"Yeah." I put him down and laid the blanket down."When do we play,daddy?" he sat between my legs,"After we eat." I handed Chloe her sand which,"I made your sand which very small,but still be careful." I handed him his sand which.

We all started eating.

"Loe,my daddy is so cool." he smiled,Chloe smiled at him,"He is?!" she sipped her water,"We went to the zoo and he got me some ice cweam and candy!!!" Damon smiled,"and...and...he helped me use the big potty." he smiled proudly.

"So glad to know that makes me awesome." I laughed,chewing on my sand which. "That's awesome,bud!  He sounds awesome." Chloe smiled.

Later we finished eating and had some grapes. Now I was playing with Damon with his toy cars.

"Voom,voom!" I drove my car past down Damon's,"Slow down daddy!" Damon laughed,Damon then looked over at Chloe,"Loe,come pway wit us!" he smiled,"You can pway wit my favowite caww." he handed her his red toy car,"Thank you." Chloe smiled. 

We all started playing with our cars,it was pretty fun. Chloe and Damon got along great.

"Ah I crashed!" I rolled over,"Daddy!!" Damon climbed on top of me,I smiled,"Hey,little dude." he crossed his arms,"I'm not little." he huffed,making Chloe laughed. I chuckled,"You're little. You're tiny as an ant." I smiled.

"Daddy!!! I big boy!" he looked at me like he was mad,"A big ant,sure." I smiled,"Loe,I little!?" he looked at her,"No,you're a big boy. Maybe Joe is a little dude." Chloe smiled. Damon started laughing,"You little,daddy!"

"I'm going to ask you what you mean by that later." I looked at her,"Joseph!" she hit my leg,playfully. 

We stayed a good few hours at the park,Damon and I played soccer then we headed onto the playground and we played on that for awhile,I mean he played on it,I just watched.

"You're a good father." Chloe put her hand on my back,"I try..I mean I love little kids...and Damon,he's really cool." I smiled,"Is he looking at us right now?" she asked,"No." I looked at her and she pecked my lips.

It was time to take Damon home,he was so tired he fell asleep on the car ride,I pulled into Demi's driveway and I noticed Nick was here. I picked Damon up and carried him inside,"Did you guys have fun?" Demi whispered,taking him from me,"Yeah...he seemed to like Chloe alot." I smiled,"I'll see you guys tomorrow." I waved at Nick who was on the couch,I then got in my car and took Chloe home.

The next day arrived and I was getting ready to pick up Damon for our day out again,Chloe had stuff to do,so she won't be able to hang with us. Today,we got some ice cream and I took him to a jewelry store to help me pick out an engagement ring,he actually picked out a good one. I bought the ring then we did something fun for him. We went to the amusement park and we did alot of rides.

After that,I took him to my place,because I wanted him to be part of the propose,so I wrote on each piece of paper a letter that spelled out 'Will You Marry Me?'  

Damon held each letter up,in order,as I took pictures of him,"Good job buddy."  I smiled,once I was finished,I let him watch TV as I quickly made a slide show on my computer with the pictures.

It was time to take Damon home,so I dropped him off at his house,"Bye,daddy! I love you." he hugged me, "Bye bud. I love you too." I hugged him back,"Bye Demi." I smiled,I got in my car and drove home for my date with Chloe tonight.

I put a red table cloth over my table and lit a few candles and poured us a glass of water. I got the food out of the oven and ran to my bedroom to get dressed. I buttoned up a black and white shirt and slipped on my black pants.

Just in time,the doorbell rang,I went down and dimmed the lights,"Come on in,my lady." I smiled,"You look nice." she pecked her lips,"You look beautiful." I smiled,"Go sit down." I headed to the kitchen and placed our food on our plates,I carried them to our table,"Looks good." Chloe put her napkin on her lap,"I hope it is. I followed the recipe." I smiled.

"So did you and Damon have fun today?" she took a sip of her water,"Yeah,of course. How was your day?" I smiled,"It was okay,my brother was being a pain in the ass." she rolled her eyes,"Move back here." I stuffed my mouth with food.

"Really?" she played with her fork,"Yeah,of course,I'm lonely here by myself." I wiped my mouth,"Okay." she smiled.

We finished eating,I put our dishes in the sink,then we headed to the couch,"I gotta show you this video.." I grabbed my laptop and put it on her lap and I hit play on the slide show. She smiled as the watched the video. She turned her head and saw me on one knee,"Yes!!!!" Chloe smiled big,I slipped the ring on her finger and sat back on the couch,she kissed me.

I placed my hands on her cheek softly,kissing her. Suddenly I heard like shattered glass coming outside my window,"Be right back.." I headed outside and noticed one of my car window broken and so is Chloe's. I then faintly saw a guy in all black running.

I started running after him,"HEY MOTHERFUCKER COME OVER HERE AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN!! ARE YOU THE SAME BASTARD WHO BROKE MY BROTHER'S WINDOW!? STOP RUNNING LIKE A PUSSY AND FIGHT." I was mad. 

I lost sight of him and stopped to catch my breath,I sighed and headed back to my house,"What happened?" Chloe asked," Some douchebag broke our cars  window..." I sighed,"Who was it?"

"I don't know Chloe,but I have a feeling it's the same guy who broke Nick's car window." I sat down,thinking.
