Chapter 5

"Is everyone okay?" You call, trying to look around.

"I'm okay." Kai's voice grumbles. "But I think Sehun's hurt."

"Guys, we have to get out. I can hear them coming." Chanyeol starts to kick the door and it soon snaps open. Light floods the wreck and you feel yourself being pulled out. Once you're on your feet, Chanyeol lets go of your hand and you can get a good look at him. There's a large cut across the bridge of his nose and a light stream of blood dribbles from his bottom lip. Looking over his shoulder, you notice a small hoard of zombies approaching. There are a few bangs on the other side of the car and the driver seat door swings open. Kai appears, dragging out a very bloody Sehun. 

"He's still breathing. We need to get the others out." Kai carefully places Sehun on the ground, who appears to be unconscious. Chanyeol crawls back inside the car and pulls out Xiumin and Suho, they are both bloody and bruised but not as bad as Sehun. Chen, D.O, Baekhyun and Lay all manage to crawl out of their own. But there isn't time to check on everyone, the zombies are at the top of the ditch. A particularly menacing one steps forward and tumbles down towards you. "Help me with Sehun." You rush over to Kai and haul the limp body up, wrapping an arm around your neck. And you're running again. Chen appears to have damaged his leg so he is leaning on Xiumin for support. After running for what seems like half an hour, the zombies are out of sight and you've arrived at what seems to be the outskirts of a forest. But Sehun's weight has caused you and Kai to tire quickly.

"Maybe we should take a break? I think we're okay for now, and we need to check everyone's wounds." The group agrees to stop just into the forest so that you're out of sight. Resting Sehun against a tree, you all collapse onto the woodland floor. You look over to Chen who is wincing next to Xiumin. "Chen, is your leg okay?"

"I don't think it's broken." He mumbles, rotating his ankle.

"I think he twisted his ankle." Xiumin adds and you nod, moving on to the other members. D.O, Baekhyun and Lay all appear to be okay but have a few cuts on their arms and faces. Suho has a nasty gash on his arm.

"We need to wrap something around that." You turn to the others. Yixing offers his jacket. The material is thin but should do the job. You manage to tear the sleeve off and tie it around Suho's arm. "That should stop the bleeding."

"Thank you. How do you know all this?" Suho asks, resting his injured arm on his leg.

"T.V, mostly. I watched a lot of The Walking Dead." The thought of your favourite show becoming a reality causes you to let out a sigh of entertainment. Although the situation seems much scarier now than it did on T.V.

"I've heard of that," Chanyeol says, appearing by your side. "They survived for quite a while. Maybe we can."

"Maybe." You move over to Sehun, who is still unconscious. Blood is dribbling from his forehead but as far as you can see, there aren't any other major injuries. "This could have gone a whole lot worse." Tearing off another part of the jacket, you wipe the blood from his forehead. "Here, hold this to the wound for a while." You hand the material to Kai who obediently presses it to Sehun's head. Leaving the group to tend to each other, you turn to Chanyeol.

"What did they do when this all started?" He asks, sitting cross-legged on the ground. The ground is quite soft but a few twigs still manage to dig into your bare legs. Even though Chanyeol's shorts are comfy, they aren't very practical in this situation. And if you have to stay out overnight, it's going to get very cold.

"Well, they needed to find shelter. Somewhere with walls to keep the walkers out."

"Walkers?"

"That's what they called them. Walkers, biters... But then again, they also had weapons. Lots of them."

"Wait, you think that we might have to actually... Fight?" Baekhyun stares at you with those innocent puppy eyes that your other EXO-L friend was always going on about.

"We might do. Maybe the news could tell us about some safe places to go." You reach for your backpack but realise that it isn't there. "Crap... I must have left it in the car."

"I managed to get your phone. It's a bit damaged though." Kai tosses the phone over to you. The screen is cracked in multiple places but you can still use it. Unfortunately, there appears to be no signal. 

"You can still call the emergency services, can't you?" Chanyeol pulls out his own phone. "What's the number in England?"

"999" He dials the number and puts the phone to his ear.

"Hello? I'm with a group of people, our car crashed into a ditch and we're stuck here." You can't hear what the other person is saying but Chanyeol's facial expression seems to tell you anyway. "Yeah, we were trying to leave London but those creatures were in the middle of the road." The rest of the group is listening intently. "We're not hurt too badly but one of my friends is unconscious." He glances to Sehun. "Stay where we are? How long will that take?" Hope sparks in your chest, maybe it will be fine after all. "Okay, thank you." With that, he hangs up. "They said that they have our location and will arrive in about 20 minutes. But we have to stay here." The group breathes a sigh of relief.

"See guys? We're going to be alright." Kai is still pressing the rag on Sehuns head. Then, he starts to groan. All eyes are on Sehun as his eyes begin to flutter open. "Sehun! Are you okay?" Looking dazed and confused, Sehun slowly nods his head, breathing slowly. "Don't worry, help is coming soon." As Kai tends to Sehun, D.O approaches you with a handful of berries.

"브랙베리" He says, holding them out to you.

"Blackberries, right?" You turn to Chanyeol for confirmation.

"Yeah," He smiles and takes one from D.O's hand. He pops it into his mouth and chews slowly. "They're good."

"Thank you. Where did you get these?" You also take a few and stuff them into your mouth. Chanyeol was right, they're delicious.

"There's a bush over there." You follow D.O's gaze to a bush filled with the dark berries. He then goes around the group, handing them out to the members.

"Do you think you'll continue your tour here? When all this is sorted out?" Chanyeol hums in thought for a moment at your question.

"Well, we can't let our EXO-Ls down. So we'll try." The thought of how devoted to they are to their fans brings a smile to your face.

"It sucks that your tour started off like this. I know that it was going to be amazing."

"And it will be. We'll even get you a V.I.P pass. You deserve it after all you've been through these past two days." Chanyeol's words sound so surreal.

"Thanks. I'm looking forward to it." A small giggle escapes your lips as you munch on another berry.
