There Will Be Lies || COMPLETED

I woke up - it was Saturday at last.

All I planned to do, was rest to cleanse my mind. Then, I would hopefully be able to complete my mission next week.

That's all I need, rest. I reassured myself.

I wrapped my duvet cover around myself and planned to binge watch Netflix, when Sophie came into the room.

"Livy, why don't you go to the mall and buy yourself something nice?"

She handed me £30 with a grin on her face, "My treat to you."

I took the money and removed my duvet, maybe it would be good to explore the shopping mall that was very near to my new house, yet, I'd never been to.

"Thank you Soph!" I replied gratefully. "You're the best."

I arrived at the shopping centre, looking at some clothes in the store New Look when I received a text message from Blake. I opened it eagerly - it read:

-Blake-
I'm having a birthday party next week Friday - do you want to come?

I replied a yes, genuine excitement brewing in my mind - I had never been to a real party before.
Then, the agonizing reality crashed back down on me. I quenched the excitement - it was too dangerous to have hope - chances were that Blake would already be dead by then.

I flinched at that cynical thought, but it was the truth; it was my job.

I left the store and walked to the food court to grab a bite to eat, when unexpectedly I saw Blake and Aria sitting together.
A wave of happiness washed over me as I prepared to run to them and say hello but as I got closer, I froze, feeling my blood run cold.

All the happiness, I had felt just seconds ago diminished into hurt, confusion and another feeling I couldn't put my finger on.

I could not believe my eyes:

Aria was sitting on Blake's lap, and they were kissing.
