After staring at my wall, for half an hour, my mum rushed into the room.
"So, Agent Marshall has just given me a very confidential mission to do," She said, the words spewed out in a rush and I raised my eyebrows. "I will have to leave in five days, to York."
"York?" I choked in surprise. "How long will you be away?"
It was times like this that I really missed my dad. Just a year ago, he was asked to do a mission and became missing.
I've never seen him since.
Tears glazed in my eyes.
"Who will look after me?"
"Don't worry," Mum sat down and gave me a big hug. "It's all being planned. It will only be for about three days and your Aunt Sophie will be here to look after you."
I sighed, I can not let this distract me from my mission.
"Ok..."
"Good, sweetie."
She kissed me on the forehead and left the room.
But it it's not ok - I don't want her to go to York. What if what happened to my dad will happen to her?
The next day...
I opened my eyes, it was Monday and my first day at a new school as the identity: Tessa Wilson.
A heavy thought flooded my mind as I brushed my hair, I guess it's kind of a shame that no one will ever know the real me…
Suddenly my mum came into the room and my thoughts were interrupted.
"Livy breakfast is ready downstairs when you want it."
I laughed and cleared my throat.
"Oh yeah. Sorry honey. Not Olivia, Tessa."I suppose that is the worst thing about being undercover: you spend most of your time walking around as someone else but truly, inside, you start to lose who you really are.
I had a quick shower and got dressed into my new uniform.
It definitely wasn't the most comfortable thing I had worn in my life and it wasn't very warm either but I shrugged and went downstairs to eat breakfast.
However, just as I was about to leave, my mum stopped me."Today, make sure you remember what's important - try to find out more and get closer to who you're supposed to—"
She paused and the unsaid word was left hanging in the air.
Kill.
She cleared her throat, giving me a big hug and we said goodbye to each other before I left to go to school.
I took a deep breath as I left the front door, doubtful voices in my mind, echoing negativity.
What if no one likes me?
What if I fail this?
What if I get found out?
Before I even entered the tall, iron gates of Lakeside High school, I knew that this was going to be a very long day...
