As soon as Blake was untied, we quickly ran to the others to untie them.

Marshall was still on the ground, writhing in pain.

"Harper, Toby. Hurry - we have to go!" Blake urged.

"We'll never make it," Harper cried out, tears in her eyes.

I placed my hand gently on her shoulder. "We will; have faith," I whispered, although horrific doubts were swirling in my mind.

She nodded and I grinned slightly: she was being so brave.

I ran to Sophie and my mum and dad, helping them up.

My mum clasped my face with the weakening strength she had left, "I'm so proud of you."

"2 minutes till explosion. Please evacuate the building." - the speakers blared into the room and it felt as if the words were echoing in my skull; being engraved in my brain.

"We really have to go now." Aiden said.

We ran to the door not even looking back, when Marshall's voice, pained and now weak, sounded behind us.

"Not on my watch."

We saw as Marshall pulled himself from the ground, his face now scabbing and burnt from the acidic poison.

"I should have left earlier when I had the chance," He muttered, tenderly fingering the burns scabbing on his face. He staggered towards us with heavy, uneven steps and took out the gun from his pocket, aiming his trembling hand at us to shoot. "I will not let any of you survive-" his mouth curved up in a slight malicious smile, contrasting with his hard, emotionless eyes, "-even if it takes my last breath."

"Let's go now!" Aiden yelled, just as Marshall shot his first bullet, missing Toby's shoulder by mere inches.

We ran out of the door and through the winding corridors of the warehouse, reaching for the exit.

"30 seconds till explosion. Please evacuate the building."

My parents and Sophie lead the way, with me, Aiden, Toby and Emma in the middle, and Blake carrying Harper at the back.

We did it!

We piled one by one out of the building, panting hard with strong relief overwhelming us.

It was only when we distanced ourselves from the entrance that we realised two members were missing.

Blake and Harper.

Panic swirled through my chest.

"Where are Blake and Harper?" Toby cried out.

I shook my head and started to run back to the warehouse: "We have to go back in there!"

But no one joined me.

Emma started crying and Aiden looked down at the ground with a stoney expression on his face.

I tried to carry on running back inside but my dad pulled me away.

"I'm so sorry..." He whispered to me, avoiding my gaze.

No.

"No," I cried. "Why isn't anyone doing anything?!"

"10 seconds till explosion. Please evacuate the building."

NO.

Tears rapidly ran down my cheeks.

This can't be happening.

We heard two gunshots, a mad, evil laugh and a terrifying scream.

No...

Sophie held my hand as I trembled in fear.

BOOM.

We shielded ourselves as pieces of debris flew into the air, and the remaining part of the building burst into flames.

Two innocent people are gone - just because of me.

If I had never appeared into their lives they would still be living.

My mum grabbed me and pulled me into a hug.

"Hey," She said, stroking my ruffled hair. "I know what you're thinking, but it's not your fault okay? It's not your fault..."

I turned to the blazing building, burning behind us, feeling its heat radiate onto my skin.

But yes it is.

I hope you all had a great day!
