I felt my cheeks tint a faint red and Blake opened his mouth to say something more but got interrupted by the nurse.

"Mr and Mrs Evans, I think it's best if we take your son to the hospital now to stitch his cut up," She said, then turned to me. "His family are the only ones allowed in the hospital room with him but you can wait in the waiting room if you wish."

I nodded sadly, feeling upset that I couldn't be there for him to give support.

The medics helped Blake and his family onto the ambulance and just before the doors closed, he gave me a small grin as he mouthed: "Everything will be okay now. See you later."

I waved goodbye, mulling over his words as the police escorted my family home.

Everything will be okay now.

The police car pulled up outside our house and I exhaled a breath I hadn't even realised I was holding.

My mum squeezed my hand reassuringly, "Well honey, we're definitely going to stay here for a while - I hope that's okay with you."

I grinned, feeling my entire face light up, "I'd love that."

My mum, dad and I walked into the house our arms linked as the police car, along with all of our previous worries drove away.

An hour later I found myself waiting inside a hospital, my hands fidgeting impatiently, unsure of what to do to make time seem to pass faster.

I had been waiting outside the hospital room for the previous half hour - eager to see Blake, but was ushered out to the waiting room before I could even get a glance at him to see if he was okay.

"I'm sorry but you can not see Blake Evans at this moment," the nurse had quickly said. "We have just finished the procedure of sewing his deep cut up but he is still feeling drowsy from the local anaesthetic."

After seeing my disappointed expression she added, "Let him rest and I'm sure you can see him soon. Until then, you can wait in the waiting room for now."

I nodded dismally and sat in the waiting room.

Time went by painfully slowly and after what felt like forever I heard my name being called out.

"Olivia!" A doctor appeared into the room, a checkboard in hand. "Is there an Olivia here? You are allowed to see Blake now."

I replied that I was Olivia and he beckoned me over, leading me into a room without another word.

I walked through the door and the sight of Blake's face immediately made me grin.

"Blake! How was it?"

I ran towards him and gently gave him a hug.

After pulling away he smiled back at me, evidence of fatigue showing in the form of faint eye bags on his face.

"Well because of the anaesthetic it didn't hurt one bit," He grinned. "I'll have to keep the bandage on for around two weeks though but by then the cut should have healed and I can come back here to remove them."

"That's great!"

I sat down on a chair beside him and suddenly his face became serious.

"I still can not thank you enough for what you did for me and my family," He whispered sliding a hand through his hair. "I have to admit that when I found out what Marshall tried to make you do to me, I was corrupted with anger; I didn't put myself in your shoes and I'm really sorry for that..."
