Temptation

Chapter 8

*Alice POV*

I was currently getting out of the shower, now heading to my room. I picked out an outfit for the day, I wasn't doing much so I decided to wear a simple band teeshirt and some black leggings.

I made my way down stairs after I was finished. I was getting hungry so I made myself a sandwich. Jenny wasn't currently home, she said she was going to apply for a summer job. So she left early this morning.

I started scrolling through my Twitter timeline, meanwhile I ate my sandwich. I retweeted and favoured some tweets, although there was nothing new. I came across a tweet that caught my eye.

"Remember you're worth it."

It was tweeted by Cameron, maybe he wasn't all that bad. Maybe I misjudged him? I exited twitter, and went to my text messages. I debated on weather I should text him. I typed "Hey, Cameron." but I quickly deleted it and shut off my phone.

After I finished eating I went back upstairs, I had absolutely nothing to do, so I decided to watch some Netflix. I decided I'd watch Teen wolf.

I was getting a bit sleepy, but I managed to stay awake. In the middle of the episode my phone went off. I quickly unlocked it, my heart fell into my stomach when I saw who it was.

"Hey Beautiful, I was thinking we could hang out? ;)"

Well I wasn't doing anything today.. I thought for a second before replying. "Um, sure.. " I texted back.

"Okay, I'll pick you in about 30 minutes.. Cant wait to see you"

I smiled, shutting off my phone. I quickly got up from bed and ran to my bathroom. I took out my curling wand and I quickly curled my hair in loose waives. It looked good, for 10 minute hair. I took out my makeup bag, and applied my everyday makeup. Except I did a little more eyeliner this time. I threw on a pair of ankle booties and glossed my lips before I ran downstairs. I grabbed my bag and threw in over my shoulder.

I started pacing back and forth, why was I getting so anxious? Okay Alice calm down, take a deep breath. Ugh why was I feeling like this? Was I starting to feel something for him? No Alice, Snap put of it! I took a last look at myself in the mirror. I looked okay, but I felt like I've forgotten something. I sniffed my armpits. Shit I forgot to put on some deodorant. I ran back upstairs and applied some on, as well with my One Direction perfume. That's when I heard the doorbell ring, and I swear my heart stopped.

I ran downstairs, and opened the door. My smile soon faded when I saw who it was.

"Oh it's just you." I said, walking away from the door.

"Geez, It's nice to see you too!" Jenny said walking in.

"I thought you were someone else."

"Oh you're going out?" she asked, setting her bag down in the kitchen counter.

"Yeah."

"Nice," she chuckled. "With who?"

"Just a friend" I said without thinking.

The doorbell ringed once again. Jenny gave me a look, I knew what she was thinking. She ran to the door but beat her to it. "HAH!" I told her. She rolled her eyes, "Whatever," she said walking away.

I made sure my hair was in place before I opened the door.

"Hey," he smiled.

"Hi." I said shutting the door behind me.

"Are you ready to go?" he smiled down at me.

I nodded. "Yup." I started walking to his car, but he stopped me.

"Wait!"

"Huh?" I asked, looking up at him.

"This is for you." he smiled handing me a rose.

I was surprised, no guy has ever given me flowers. My stomach twisted into knots, and I felt butterflies. Shit, I was falling for this guy.

I chuckled. "Thank you." I said, as I took the rose from his hand.

He placed the palm of his hand on my lower back, leading me to his car. He opened the passengers door, allowing me to get in. I gave him a small smile. I had to admit I was actually shocked when Cameron opened the door for me. I have gotten rides from a few guys, and not one of the guys have opened and closed the door for me. I bit my lip as he walked around the car into the drivers seat. I guess this guy was full of surprises.

As soon as he turned on the radio The Fray started playing. I looked at him with a questionable look.

He chuckled. "I decided I like The Fray now." he shrugged.

"I can see that." I said, smiling.

"So, I thought we could just hang out at my place?" he asked, clearing his throat.

I had a feeling where this was going. And it's almost as if he had read my mind.

"It's just as friends! I promise I won't try to pull anything on you."

"Well in that case, sure." I smiled.

I don't know what it was about him, but whenever I was around him, everything changed in me. We were so different, we lived in completely different worlds. There has been that part of me that tells me stay away from him, yet I can't. In this small amount of time of knowing him, he's had the crazies impact on me.
