*Alice's POV*
You know that feeling when you wake up and for a brief second you forget about everything. You forget about everything occurring in your life, and then it all hits you all at once. You remember everything, the good and the bad. It's sad to say but all I could think about now was all the bad things in my life.

Jenny didn't come home last night and I had no idea where she was. And the worst part is that I have no one to be angry at but myself. It's just crazy how someone who's a huge part of your life can be gone in a second. It makes you realize that you can't take people for granted, and sadly that was my mistake I took my best friend for granted.

I reached over for my phone, the time read 12:46. It was late, and I had things to do today. I struggled to get out of bed, but I did it. I hoped into the shower, then I changed into casual clothes, and put my hair up into a messy bun. I didn't do makeup today, I threw on my raybands to hide my puffy red eyes.

I headed out the door, and drove to the mall. Tonight was Matt's birthday party, and I was attending. It probably wasn't my best idea but staying in wasn't doing me any good either.

Once I got back home it was now 5:00 and Shawn said he'd be here at 8:00. So I thought I would for once take my time getting ready. I got started on my makeup, I decided to try something new and add more makeup than usual. My eyes were smokey, while I kept my lips a nude pink. I liked it. I loosely curled my hair, and pined the side back.

After I was done I changed into my dress. I went a little out of my comfort zone today. The dress was a black v neck, short, a little loose, but tight enough to show my curves. To finish everything off I threw on my black ankle booties.

I finished just in time. Shawn ended up showing up half an hour earlier.

"Hey," I smiled, shutting the door behind me.

"Hi." He smiled.

"Wow." he mumbled under his breath.
I gave him an odd look, "What's the matter?" I asked.

"Um, nothing.. You just look really nice." he grinned.

"Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself." I teased. Shawn actually looked very handsome, like he always does.

"Why thank you." he laughed. "So, shall we?" he said, taking out his arm.

"We shall," I laughed, as he lead me to his car.

As we got closer and closer to the house the party was talking place in, my stomach started getting butterflies. I was pretty much sure I would be crossing paths with Cameron weather I liked it or not.

Shawn soon pulled into a huge house. I could feel the palms of my hand sweating, and I could hear my heart pounding in my ears. I was really nervous, and I didn't know why.

"Are you okay? You know you don't have to do this, I'm not forcing you to if you're no-"

"No! I'm okay." I reassured him.

"Okay." he nodded.

We both walked into the huge house, there wasn't many familiar faces. I didn't know anyone here other than Shawn.

"Shawn!" a male voice called from behind us.

"What's up man? Happy birthday!" Shawn said, shaking Matt's hand.

"Thanks man! I'm glad you could make it." he smiled.

"Alice!" Matt shouted, as our eyes met. "Thanks for coming!" he said as he went in for a hug.
