*Alice's POV*

Saying I'm scared right now, would be an understatement. I could feel the sweat in the palms of my hands. My lips slightly parted due to my heavy breathing.

Skates eyes burn right trough mine, sending chills down my spine. He looks furious, as he takes a closer step into the garage, glaring at Sammy.

I get the feeling in the pit of my stomach that he knows everything Sammy just told me. But I try to push it out of my thoughts and try to act as normal as possible. Skate's eyes eye me up and down and I wrap my towel even tighter around my body protectively. I hate the way he looks at me, it makes me so uncomfortable. And I keep looking down making sure my towel covers up my thighs enough.

"So this is where the birthday girl has been hiding out..." He takes a few steps closer to me, breaking the space between us. My breath hitches as his dark eyes meet mine.

"A girl like you shouldn't be alone with a guy like Sammy." He tells me and I gulp as he glares at him. He gives me a wicked smirk, and I look away and up at Sammy. I almost want to hide behind him like a scared little puppy, but that would be childish and absurd. I can't deny how terrified I am of Skate, and I'm sure he can tell. He's clearly taking that as an advantage to intimidate me.

"We were just making small talk." Sammy beats me to the statement and Skate gives him a death glare.

"What were you guys talking about?" He questions smiling at me, and I look down at my hands. I'm a terrible liar, and I can't even attempt to lie to him, he will catch me right away.

"Nothing important." Sammy speaks, and I silently yell, stop talking but he ignores me and looks down at Skate.

"Sammy, why don't you let her answer herself. I'm sure she knows how to speak." His sarcastic voice echoes in the small garage.

"Im sure she can. But I'm just stating facts." Sammy shrugs. I can tell he's nervous, even though he will never admit to it; I can see the fear behind his hazel eyes.

"Sammy I swear if you-" he begins to threaten but is instantly cut off.

"If I what?" Sammy challenges, stepping closer to him.

My pesky subconscious is scolding me, telling me to leave now, and never turn back, but I can't seem to do so... No matter how hard I try to move my feet out of the room, they won't budge. I'm too deep into this mess to turn back now. I find the slightest bit of courage I have inside me, and make the bold move to take a step in between Skate and Sammy. I will not let him hurt him or anyone in that matter.

For some odd reason I fee so overprotective over Sammy now, and I will not stand around and wait for Skate to hurt everyone who gets in the way of his wicked revenge.

"What are you doing?" He questions, the arrogant smirk still remains in his face.

"Preventing you from fighting?" I say, my voice comes out more as a question rather then a statement.

"We're not fighting. I just need to speak to him. So give me some space, you shouldn't even be here anyway." He states, his voice full of annoyance.

I don't know what to say to him. And I can't bring myself to say anything before he quickly begins to lose it.

"Alice move!" Skate demands, looking down at me. His eyes are bloodshot, and I get the smell of alcohol from his breath. I scrunch my nose disproving of the terrible smell his breath brings, but I don't budge.

"Trust me, you don't want to get in the middle of this-"

"Skate if you have one decent bone in your body then please don't hurt him." I plead desperately, finally looking up at him.
