The scene in front of me is mesmerizing, how the hell did this happen? How did they both end up crashing? The only explanation I can think of is that Jack was so drunk, he ended up losing control of the motorcycle, hitting Cameron's bike with full force, making them both crash. I didn't even notice when this happened, I was so distracted by Shawn's sudden return, I didn't see anything. But in the moment it doesn't matter, this is severe. Jack and Cameron are both laying on the ground, injured. I don't bother to turn to Jack, just yet. I turn to cameron first. He is on the ground, grunting in pain, touching his left hand.
I fall to my knees, tucking back a loose stand piece of hair that has fallen onto his forehead. His helmet is in his hand and I'm guessing he took it off, right after. I push it away, before taking his right hand in mine, stroking it softly. His hands are so cold they shake in mine. His eyes are closed shut as he groans in pain. "A-Alice," He pants, grabbing a hold on his stomach.
"Cameron," I stoke his face, which is thankfully okay due to the helmet that protected it.
"I'm sorry," He breaths softly, his eyes closing, slowly drifting off.
"Cameron, you need to stay awake. Please open your eyes." I stroke his face with my thumb as his head gently rests on mu lap. I slap his face very gently, hoping that this might keep him awake.
"Cameron!" I yell louder, warm tears building up in my eyes. His eyes daze into the sky, they look lost and completely out of it. I feel something sharp in my knee, and I gasp, when I see shade red pieces of glass everywhere.
"Please stay awake, look at me Cameron." I plead hiding his face in my hands. When his eyes meet mine, they begin to close once again. At this point I'm already crying hopelessly. I'm frozen and in shock. I didn't think things would lead to this...
"Alice, what are you waiting for? Call 911!" Shawn yells, snapping me away from my daze. I finally turn to face him. He has so much explaining to do, but right now is not the right time, so I push my questions to the back of my mind. I pull out my phone out of my pocket, and rapidly dial the number. My phone shakes in my hands, as I hold it up to my ear. Im scared to death right now, I don't know what to do... I just want to scream in desperation!
I take in deep breaths, trying to keep myself together. The phone rings twice before someone picks up.
"911 what's your emergency?" A soothing female voice speaks from the other line.
"Hello, my friends-"
"What are you doing?" Travis furrows his brows, pulling the phone away from my hands, quickly hanging up.
"What does it look like? Cant you see they're injured? We need an ambulance, now!" I snap angrily. My adrenaline has kicked in, and I will do whatever possible to make sure Cameron is okay.
"Are you stupid? If the cops find out about these races were screwed!" He runs hand through is hair, tugging at the trots desperately. "God, can't you think before doing something?" He yells harshly and I move away from him.
"Give me my phone!" I demand, jumping up, before pulling my phone away from his hands. "Their safety is first, and I'm calling an ambulance! I don't care what you say."
"And tell them what? 'My friends are fucking idiots who were fighting over a girl. They got drunk and decided to take a part in illegal races.' You cant be that big of an idiot Alice." He scoffs rolling his eyes. Its like someone turned a switch on Travis, and he's acting like a completely different person.
"I won't let you call them, give me your phone!" His jaw tenses, and he has his strong grip tied around my wrist.
"You should have thought about that before intaking in stupid things like this." I push him back with full force. I won't let him talk to me that way; I'm not scared of him, Im scared of losing Cameron.
