                              STARTING OVER

I woke up in a bed room. It looked pretty normal, if there was an emo teenager living here who doesn't know the definition of clean. I was guessing it was Grant's room. I looked around. It was clear of life. I tried to get up, and to my surprise, I could. You would think that Grant would be at least smart enough to tie me up. I peeked out of the room at a giant house. It was a lot like Bryce's. That didn't exactly make me feel comfortable.

I walked downstairs toward the door. It was open. I peeked outside.

Then I ran toward the woods. I went behind a tree and peered over my shoulder. Left and right up and down. But there was no sign of anyone. I touched my neck. I felt the two bite marks from when Grant bit my neck. My fingers had blood on the tips now. I wasn't sure if I was going to be okay or not. So I decided that it would be best for me to go see someone. Someone I need to reconnect with. And no it's not Bryce. I'm not sure if I'll ever talk to that bastard again. He hurt me, in a way that I can't explain.

When I got to Jaylen's house, I had to slow my breathing. I rang the door bell. I was afraid of what would happen when they saw me. Would they be mad? Happy? Ashamed? I didn't have time to think it through. The door opened and Jaylen walked out. He looked at me, with his eyes glistening. He looked shocked, but happy. He hugged me tightly with his huge biceps wrapped around me. “Whoa big guy. Have you been working out?” I said letting go.

“I work out when I'm stressed about you,” He said flexing. I rolled my eyes. He dragged me inside. Then he stopped about 3 feet from the door. He looked at me. He turned my neck sideways and saw my fang bite. He touched it gently. “What happened? Who bit you?” he sounded like one of those over protective parents.

“Relax. Grant did this to me. It doesn't hurt though,” I said shrugging. He still looked at me wide eyed. “What?” I said to him. “Mo, do you know why he bit you? Then just let you walk away like that?” he said. “No. I just thought he was an idiot. Which he is,” I said. “Mo, that's a tracker. He's tracking you,” he said. I looked at him curiously. “What? How is having a bite like a tracker?”’ I said confused.

“Werewolves are great trackers, but only when they're close, but it's easier with open skin so the blood is exposed. So when he bit you. He can track you anywhere,” he said. I sat down in the nearest chair. I touched my neck softly. It was deep. “So what do we do?” I said to him.

“You have to stay here with us,” he said casually. I looked at like he was crazy. “What? Why?” I said obviously not wanting to.

“Because! There are werewolf's after you and you want to stay at your house, alone?” He said. He had a point. I was too scared to even think about that. “Fine. But is it okay with your mom and dad?” I said. “My mom, yes. My dad, probably not. But I don't care. I just want to be with you,” he said really sweet. A smile crept onto my face.

He was so sweet. I couldn't ask for better. “So…are we a thing, now?” I said not really knowing what we were. He smirked at me. “I guess we are,” he said seeming happy. At least I think. “Well then it's official. Uh….we're not gonna have stupid nicknames like poocky pie or baby elephant right?” I said being totally serious. He laughed. “Of course not,” he said. He was still laughing. This might be the hardest he's ever laughed before. I enjoyed every minute of it.

“I've got to go,” I said. Then I snuggled out of his grasp and grabbed my coat from off the chair. “Where are you going?” he said sounding concerned. “Oh know, please don't be that over protective boyfriend and crap.

I just have to get my stuff from Bryce's place,” I was half way out the door when he touched my shoulder. “I'm coming with you,” I spun around fast. “Jaylen, I can handle this alone. I don't need back up. Plus I need to talk to him. One on one,” I said reassuring him that I'm not his little sister. “I had a brother once,” I said randomly looking off into the distance. He looked in the same direction, and then turned back to me. “What?!” he said sounding really confused. I turned to look at him. “Nothing. I just had a flashback. You wouldn't understand anyway. Okay bye!” I said all at once so he wouldn't ask questions. I started to walk out the door. “Wait! I can't let you go alone,” he said. “That's sweet Jaylen. But, this is my fight, not yours,” With that I walked out of the door into the cold October air. Halloween was coming.

I couldn't stop it from coming but I could be ready. It looked like we weren't training so I guess I'm already ready. It's all up to me now.

When I got to Bryce's front door, I take in a big breath. I don't know what was about to happen, but I know I wasn't prepared for it.  I rang the door bell. I heard a small cluster coming from behind the door. Then it opened. I didn't know what to think, or what to do.

I had only one choice how to handle what I saw, with laughter. I started busting out laughing at the sight of Bryce with only boxers on covered in multi colored paint. It was all over his body. He looked embarrassed. I finally stopped laughing to say, “What are you doing?” I had to try to stop laughing. He shrugged kind of awkwardly. “Art?” he said like he wasn't sure. “Well, um. Have fun. I just came to get my stuff,” I walked into the house and went upstairs. He stopped me in the middle of the stairs. “You're not gonna tell anyone about this, right?” he said nervously.

I rolled my eyes. “Fine. Why be an internet sensation when I can protect your little secret,” I said sarcastically. I walked upstairs and gathered all my stuff. When I got back down, Bryce was staring at me. “What?” I said confused. He gently reached his hand out to touch my neck. He looked terrified. He spoke with his voice shaky. “What's that?”

My heart raced. Why was he so worried? “Oh. Grant bit me when I was stuck in the white fog. He and his 'gang' kind of jumped me. But it's okay, it doesn't hurt,” I said normally. He still didn't calm down.

I THINK I'LL HAVE A HEART ATTAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!! That's what's going on in Bryce's head....maybe. Oh yeah! Watching a guy get head butted on  gthe soccer field cause he's being a sour loser and feels like giving someone a concussion. Can you say PROBLEMS!
