I sighed as I heard the glorious sound of the final bell, marking the weekend officially begun.
I gathered up my things as the teacher shouted to remember our homework and be safe during the weekend. I stopped quickly off at my locker to ditch a few books before turning to leave. But something caught my attention.
"Yeah when I got my picture taken with them Riker pretty much groped my ass." Brit sneered as she clicked her way down the hall. I rolled my eyes before scurrying out of the school to the safety of my car. I sighed as I gripped the wheel, feeling the safety flow over me. Remembering my text I had gotten earlier I dug in my pocket for my phone.
I pulled it out and hit the home button.
Unknown number: Hey, it's Riker, um...I've never texted a fan before so um..hey?
Eyes wide I read over the text, again and again. I opened the chat and shakily texted back.
Me: Hey...is this really Riker or am I being punked?
I sent it and sat staring at my steering wheel in shock, had he texted me? Had THE Riker lynch actually texted ME?
I went to turn on my car when my phone buzzed with a FaceTime from the same number as Riker supposedly texted.
Shaking heavily and with a quick glance in the mirror to check myself I hit answer.
Ross, Rocky and Ratliff appeared on my screen. "It's not really you that we're messing with it's more or less Riker." Ross smirked at the screen. "Wow you look like you've seen a ghost." Rocky chuckled. "Anyways guys explain how this is messing with Riker." Ratliff butted in and he looked around. "Dude Rydel went shopping she won't see us!" Ross said to Ratliff before turning back to me.
"Rydel was against us messing with Riker and Ratliff doesn't like crossing her. Anyways, Riker has been staring at your number since you gave it to him, debating if he should call or text you. Soooo naturally we do this!" Ross explained before the camera switched to the front cam and it seemed like they were running somewhere.
Ross shhh'd everyone as he crept to a door left a tad open, putting the camera in the crack. Riker stood shirtless and looking in the mirror. "Hey Emily." He said cooly with a flip of his hair before muttering something. "Sup Em." He tried again with a small crooked smile. "Hey! Emily it's Riker! You know the uh..guys you kissed. You probably remember me I mean how many guys do you kiss!" He chuckled dryly before muttering something that sounded like 'stupid' over and over. Groaning he turned to leave and saw the camera.
"ROSS! Don't film this!" He shouted, good thing I wasn't wearing headphones. "Oh don't worry we aren't. Say hi Emily!" Ross smiled into the screen facing camera as he smooshed next to a crimson Riker. I blushed lightly and waved with a small sounding "hi". "Um...we gotta go." Riker muttered not looking at the phone as he hit end.
I giggled a little and looked up, I was still in the parking lot of school, almost empty too. I felt like I was there with them. Smiling like a fool I turned on my car and drove home where I promptly ran up to the door, unlocked it and ran squealing to the couch. I lived alone if you haven't guessed, moved out when I was 18 and don't regret a thing. I was stuck with a dead beat drunk for a father after my mom left when I was 10.
Anyways as I was cooking dinner for myself my phone buzzed.
Riker: sorry about earlier, my brothers are jerks.
I giggled and responded.
Me: Don't worry I enjoyed the show 😉
Blushing madly at what I texted I locked my phone and kept to cooking.
