The hotel had a vacancy. A really nice room on their 7th floor (second highest) it was a suite with a tiny kitchenette. I booked it and had the hotel call me a cab so I could pick up my things from the Lynch's.

When I pulled up into the driveway all looked normal, not saying much since it was so hot that any sound minded person was inside. Paying the driver, again, I realized I should probably rent a car too. It would probably cost less. Quickly I jogged up to the house so to avoid getting to hot from the mid afternoon sun.

Turns out everyone was in the pool so the house was empty. I didn't see Riker and what's-her-face, Alex I think. Quickly I climbed the stairs, as I came to Rydel's and my room I was about to turn the doorknob when I heard a loud thump from inside Riker's room. Worried, I rushed over and flung the door open. Riker was making out with Alex, both their shirts on the floor so Alex was in her bra. Riker's eyes were closed but flung open with the door.

He shoved Alex off him and she rushed to the bed for something to cover herself with. "I-I can't believe this..." I said, my voice barley a whisper. Riker reached out to touch my arm. "Emily.." I backed away from him. "Don't touch me." I whispered, Riker's eyes widened. "Don't touch me, don't talk to me, don't... Just don't!" I cried, I was about to turn and leave when I felt the cool metal of Riker's promise ring on my finger.

I ripped it off and pushed it into his chest. "Guess that promise was a one way street huh. Either way, it doesn't mean anything now." I said, turned and marching into Rydel's room. I threw my things hastily into my suitcase and walked out. Riker and Alex were coming out of his room after me.

I sped up so much that by the time I reached the bottom of the stairs he was on the top. "Emily! Stop!" Riker yelled. Slowly...I turned towards him, eyes burning with fury. "You... You think you have the right to yell at me?" I asked, then I burst. "WHEN YOU GO AND MAKE OUT WITH HER! WHAT IN YOUR RIGHT MIND GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO YELL AT ME!" I spat, by the time I finished, everyone was standing in the living room, startled and dripping from the pool.

"What on earth is going on?" Stormie asked, trying to calm the situation. "Well Stormie. After all I've been through for your son. The hate, the egging, the slander, coming out here to be with him. He decides to go and make out with Alex. Oh and don't worry, if I hadn't walked in, they probably would've gotten farther." I said calmly, with each word stormies eyes grew wide and her face red. Before she could say anything though Riker but in.

"Don't talk about moving out here for me! NO ONE WANTS YOU HERE!" He spat, he was now halfway down the stairs so it was literal spit. I gasped, turning to everyone, no one was looking at me, I felt a sharp sting in my heart and stormed out. I didn't bother waiting for a cab in front of the Lynch's. I kept walking and told the cabie to pick me up a few blocks from their.

I cried as I walked down the sidewalk, suddenly slamming into something. I looked up and saw a tall brunette boy with kind blue eyes. "Oh sorry...hey... Is something wrong?" He asked his voice full of concern. I nodded, hopping he'd leave. A few things spilled out of my bag so I shoved them back and took off the where the cab was waiting for me.
