The next day pretty much was learning my lines, I had gotten through the first half of my script when Riker knocked on my door.
"Oh hey." I said, looking up quickly before continuing to study my script. "Hey, I um.. Thought you were ignoring me." He laughed shyly, I looked up at Riker (I was laying on my stomach on my bed). "What gave you that idea?" I asked him as I sat beck on my knees. "You haven't been down all day, but besides that I.. Don't really know I just thought so... Sounds a bit stupid doesn't it?" He laughed, a slight pink rushing his cheeks.
"Do you wanna run lines?" I asked him, hoping to change the subject and make him a tad but more comfortable. "Sure, but.. You know what I always find a good way to practice? I rehearse for my siblings and they give feedback like the director would." He said, clearly in his comfort zone.
"Okay, let's go then." I said, popping off my bed and leading the way.
It took some convincing to get everyone off the TV but we managed after a bit of pleading. "Okay so start from Brad and Emma's first scene?" Riker asked, skimming his script for it.
"So we should tell you about the movie a bit before we dive into the rehearsal." I said to everyone, flipping to the page with the summary of the storyline.
"Main character Emma, from a broken home, try's to make her way in the world by selling her flowers. When she meets Brad they butt heads at first but realize they have a lot in common and something blossoms. Is it love or Emma's flowers?" I read aloud, the guys seemed vaguely interested where as Rydel seemed giddy for the idea of so much love being in a movie.
"Okay so we start from Emma's line?" Riker said, I agreed and we began.
'Emma sells flowers at her flower shop and goes out to refill the outside displays. A bike messenger knocks her down, sending her orchids scattering.'
"Watch it!" I snapped at the dumb biker. "Hey you're the one who should watch it! Sending these awful things all over my bike." He said disgustedly as he pulls together the flowers on his bike and hands them to Emma. "You know they really should be inside, orchids like cool temperatures and... It's not exactly cool out." He said smugly, the boy looked at the address on the flower shop and back at her.
"You Emma Johnson?" He asked, Emma was a bit taken back that he knew her before remembering he was a messenger. "Yes." I stated, the biker boy pulled a box out of his satchel and handed it to me, I signed a little sheet and handed it back to him. "So what, is that like from your boyfriend or something?" The guy asked.
Riker and I stopped their since I needed to make lunch for everyone, I'm loving this movie so far.
