After I finished explaining it all to Connor his eyes were wide. "Wow, you dated and dumped THE Riker lynch." He asked, a clear expression of both shock and awe on his face. "Yeah... You see how it's kinda.. Complicated?" Connor nodded and then shook his head.
"That's too deep, we need to keep you happy. How about i take you somewhere. Anywhere you wanna go." He smiled, leaning on his hand as it rested under his chin, staring at me thoughtfully. "Well....okay. How about a zoo or something? I haven't been to the zoo in a long time." I answered, the zoo seemed perfect. We can act childish, it's not a date place and it's always fun no matter what.
"Deal, why don't you run up and grab a coat and I'll pay for dinner." He said, I opened my mouth the argue about who paid but he cut me off. "Oh don't worry, you're getting the zoo tickets." He chuckled, I smiled and turned to leave. I was halfway to the elevator when I was topped by a front desk guy calling for me.
"Ms! Someone called while you were at dinner, he wanted to have your room phone number but I told him you were at dinner." The guy gasped, I let him relax a little. "Who called? And what did they say?" I asked, my heart ached with the bitter sweet hope of it being Riker.
"He didn't leave a name but he told me to tell you something."
"What?"
"I'm sorry."
