Chapter 59

I kept my mind focused on food as I stood in the elevator, my reflection caught my eye. Uncoincously had add myself look cute. My hair cascaded down my shoulders is endless curls. I wore a pink sundress with swirly patterned nylons and gassed heels along with my pleather jacket. I smiled at how cute I looked, the smile felt false on my face..no not false. Misplaced.

I watched as my smile faded from my face. The doors opened and I walked out of the elevator, the restaurant was at the far left end of the lobby just past the doors. As I crossed the lobby I heard footsteps, fast footsteps. Suddenly someone knocked me to the ground, I groaned as the ground smacked me hard.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry!" A nervous boy said as he held his hand out above me to help me up. I took it and stood with his help. It was the boy I had crashed into by the Lynch's house. The brunette with blue eyes. "Um, so uh, hi." He stumbled out, making me laugh. "So uh, I bumped into you earlier and you dropped your ID." He said, handing me my license. I grabbed it from him and slipped it into my wallet again.

"Oh my god thank you!" I smiled at him, the boys cheeks pinkend a little. "Well, it seemed like you were having a tough day... Thought someone should help you out." He smiled. "Oh! I'm Connor by the way, Connor miller." He said, extending his hand and I shook it. "I'm Emily smith." I said back to him, Connor chuckled. "I know, it's on your license. So Emily.. If I may ask, why were you so upset today?" He asked softly, his voice kind and gentle. I rocked onto the balls of my feet uncomfortably.

"I um, kinda broke up with my boyfriend..." I chocked out. "Oh... That too bad.. You know, no one should ever be alone after a break up." He smiled at me, trying to be sweet. His and my stomach growled at the same time. And we laughed. "Well, I was heading to the restaurant for dinner, care to join me?" I asked, Connor smiled and offered me his arm like a gentleman. Giggling I took it and we walked into the restaurant. Connor was right, I shouldn't be alone.
