Emilys POV

I wipe my eyes as i drive, remembering what happened in the house.

Flashback

I was in the kitchen cleaning up when I heard my name, I peeked around the corner to see what was going on in the living room. Everyone (except Riker) was sitting on the couch talking.

"She's not good for him! Look at him! He's a hermit! And she did it! I say as soon as the movie is over we leave, we need Riker back to normal." Ross said determinedly.

"You mean to tell me you don't want Emily to be with Riker? When you know that's what would make him happy?" Rydel piped up looking irritated.

"Well...I mean she is sort of the reason we're messing up the tour isn't she? So if we take Riker away from here he'll get over her and move on. And we can continue with the tour." Rocky volunteered that wonderful solution. I bit back tears as I heard them talk smack about me behind my back.

"I mean I don't really think he actually likes her, think about it. Riker is the most hopeless romantic their is. Maybe he just....WANTED something to be there?" Ratliff said thoughtfully. That did it, I ran crying from the house and to my car.

End flashback

I pull over and look at where I drove to, the bookstore. I got out and went inside, the smell of old and new books hit me with a small sigh of relief.

"Finished it have you?" The book store lady asked, popping up from behind the counter. "I'm sorry...what?" I sniffled, she looked at my face and came around the counter, giving me a warm hug. "Come and sit down dear, I'll get you some tea." She brought me over to a couch and sat me down before disappearing behind a row of bookshelves.

Minutes later she reappeared with two cups of steaming tea. The woman sat down beside me and handed me one of the cups. "What's wrong dear? Didn't the boy like you?" She asked gently. I gave her a weak smile. I told her all of what happened since I saw her and when I was finished she didn't say a word. She just sat looking thoughtful for a moment.

"Well, here's what you need to do-" she was cut off by a costumer ringing the checkout bell. "I'll be right back." She said before getting up to ring him up.

"Thanks Beverly! See you soon." He waved goodbye and left. The name, Beverly, sent a chill down my spine. "Your names Beverly?" I asked the woman as she sat down. "Yes it is, oh I forgot to tell you that last time I guess." She smiled and took a sip of tea. "What's you last name? If I may ask?" I had to know... I need to know.

"Smith." As soon as the word left her mouth I knew, her hair, her eyes, the reason she was so framiliar. I gasped and my mind began to go into overdrive as I stumbled away from her. I -I need to get away, from her, from the Lynch's and... No not from Riker... That's who I need right now. I ran out of the bookstore and to my car, I drove fast. Faster than I should have, I sped around a corner and began to dial Riker's number. It rang and rang. "Hello?" His angelic voice said from my phone, my heart lifted, he picked up!...CRASH.
