Chapter 56

Riker fidgeted in his spot on the stage. After a long silence I crossed my arms and looked at him. "Riker, how do you guys feel about me being here?" I asked again, more serious. "I-.." He squealed out, sounding hoarse. "I love having you here! And I'm sure everyone else does too!" He smiled, the waver in his smile proved that he didn't believe a word he said.

"Riker..." I said again.. He sighed. "Well... I mean we didn't know you were coming so it was really unexpected but a good unexpected! And as far everyone, I don't know... They haven't said anything to me so it must be fine right?" He said, giving me a half grin to try to make it seem like a huge pro instead of a con. "I think I should stay in a hotel until tour starts." I said pushing off the stage and took a step or two away from it.

"What? No! Emily if it's about everyone else then I can talk to them, see how they feel and we can work it ou-." I cut him off. "No Riker.. If I stay in a hotel until tour then it's like... Taking a deep breath after you dive underwater. You feel great and are ready to go back under after a bit." I said, giving Riker a small smile. A frown was placed firmly on his lips though. "It will only be until tour! That's what? A month? And it's not like I won't come over, I will. It's just, seeing me day and night is different then just during the day." I explained, he shrugged, Riker looked like a kid when you tell him his favorite shows not on.

"Oh don't be a sour puss! I'm gonna go and find a hotel with a nice opening." I said giving him a kiss on the cheek before heading out, as I opened the front door I was surprised at the appears cd of a small blond girl taller than me, with green eyes and just all around pretty. "Alex!" Rydel squealed as she ran forwards hugging the girl. "Oh! Emily this is Alex! She's my best friend! Oh you're leaving? Okay see you soon!" She squealed again, pulling Alex into the house.

As I closed the door I saw Riker, his frown turned to a smile as he saw Alex and all the guys (including Riker) got up to give her huge hugs. Riker's lasted longer. I snapped the door shut and called a cab, taking a deep breath to calm down. The can pulled up and I told him to take me to the closest nice hotel. We drove off and I seethed in the back seat.

Something about Alex... Didn't sit right with me... But you know what! I trust Riker, he must be friends with her too if Rydel's friends with her so that explains the hug... He just missed her.

We pulled into the parking lot and I paid the driver, taking a deep breath before walking into the snazzy hotel.
