Chapter 38

Then suddenly something inside me snapped. I looked up and realized, I need to fight for Riker. I love him, he's mine. I'll do anything to keep him. I stood up quickly from my bed and rushed to the door.

I flung it open and saw that Riker wasn't there. I went over to his door and knocked, my veins buzzing with adrenaline. He opened the door, his eyes red and he sniffled. "Hey, it's a-a bit cold in here." He said with a wry smile. I smiled at him and launched at him. I grabbed his face and gave him a soft sweet kiss, pulling back and looking at his shocked face.

I blushed and smiled. "I love you Riker, I don't want you to stay here because it's not good for the band. I had to tell you before you left." I sighed, releasing Riker. Riker stood there, his mouth open and eyes wide, his hair flopped over like it always does and his bodies tense. I began to fidget and feel nervous. "I-I...." He stammered. Then, he laughed. I was shocked by his laughter but also happy with it, it's been a while since I heard that glorious sound.

"You just love to complicate things don't you!" He chuckled. Suddenly Riker pulled me towards him and kissed me. I smiled into the kiss and wrapped my arms around his neck. We separated and he smiled at me. "But god that's why I love you." A tear slide down my cheek as I hugged Riker. My head on his heart, his heart rate was fast. Something wet fell on my cheek, I looked up and saw that Riker was crying.

I wiped a tear from his cheek, he leaned into my touch. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry..." He cried, gripping me tighter. "Shh.... Riker, I'm sorry too. But you know what? What's done is done and we can't change it. No matter how hard we try. So let's just move forwards from it." I smiled. "You're a genius you know?" He chuckled, kissing the top of my head.

"You still have to go." I choked out, Riker pulled out of our hug. "No I don't, I'm staying here. With you. Emily, I love you." He said, I shook my head. "How about this, return your tickets and we'll finish this last week of filming. Then... Well we'll figure it out then."
