No Happy Ending

I'll fight for you

Danny woke up earlier with a terrible hangover. He sat on the bed with his head in his hands and quietly groaned. Jessica turned to him and put her hand on his back.

"I'll get you some medicine!"

"No, that's not helping!" he lies back

"Okay, then I went to make breakfast!" Jessica goes up but he puts her back on the bed.

"Danny!"

"Stay with me for a while!" he hugs her by the waist as she slowly stroked a finger on his hand.

"I'm sorry for that I did not discuss it with you!"

"Well, fight makes no sense, because it will not return back!" she slowly closes her eyes.

"Jessie, let's go on a family trip?!" he looks at her and she laughs.

"Are you crazy?! Where will you get the money now? You're not an actor anymore and now we don't have much money to travel around the country!"

"Well, we can borrow money from someone!"

Jessica gets out of bed, putting on a robe, goes to the bathroom

"Jess?"

"Danny! Have you ever tried to find a job?! It would solve all the problems!" she goes in bathroom, slamming the door.

"Morning!" Alicia walks into the kitchen with Vivien in her arms.

"Mommy!" she's reaching for Jessica

"Good morning, baby!" she takes her then kisses Alicia on the forehead and they sit down at the table.
Vivien puts her head on her mom's shoulder, hugging her.

"Baby, what's up? Would you like pancakes?"

"No!" she turns away.

"Someone's in a bad mood today!" Alicia tickles her leg and she hits her arm.

"Vivian, don't hit your sister!"

"Mommy, can I go to grandma's today?"

"You don't want to be home with daddy?" Danny strokes her back

"Well, you can't play my games!" she shrugs her shoulders  makes everyone giggle.

"You can teach me...."

"Daddy, I want to see grandma, that's not understandable?!"

"Huh daddy?"Jessica smiles,he shrugs his shoulders

June.

Today was Christina's birthday and everyone after work gathered in the meeting room. Sam didn't take his eyes off Jessica as always. Two months, he pays a lot of attention that Jessica sweet takes.

Every time she sees him, something clicks inside and she wants to spend more time with him. She fell in love with him gradually.

Danny found a job and was barely home and now life has changed. Jessica got cold to him, she won't let him hug her in her sleep, if she had the chance, she didn't sleep with Danny in the same room. Danny knew that he was losing her, but all his attempts to ask her out on dates ended not with luck.

When they were all drunk, Jessica went to her office and sat on the couch and put her feet up on the coffee table.

"Knock, knock! Can I come in?" Sam smiles, looking into the office

"Yeah!" Jessica lowers her legs, sitting down more comfortably.

Sam sits next to her, gives her a glass of whiskey, and they drink it. Sam takes a deep breath, taking her hand. Jessica looks at him, squeezing his hand.

"Jessica, it's been a long time, and I think I should say it!"

"What?" she looks at him with innocent eyes, but she knows what he has to say.

"Jessica, I've really liked you since the first time I saw you. I don't care if you're married and even if you don't feel the same way about me, I'll fight for you, I'll do whatever you want!"

"Sam, you're a good man, and I really appreciate you doing everything for me, but it's not easy for me right now, and I have to figure it out! Too much happened during this time!" she looks away.
Sam lets go of her hand, getting up from the couch.

"Okay, I can wait!"

"Are you upset?"

"No, I'm fine, I understand! Okay, I think I have to go!" he leaves the office, Jessica's leaning on the back of the couch, closing her eyes.
"Jessica...what are you gonna do?"

Jessica went into the house, throwing her purse on the floor and her jacket on the table, went upstairs. She opened the door to the guest room, but Danny stopped her.

"Danny, what are you doing?" she removes her hand

"Jess, let's go sleep in the bedroom!"

"I want to sleep alone, leave me alone!" she lean against the door.

"Are you drunk?"

"What?! Nooo! Listen, Danny, if you want me to kiss you, no problem, but then leave me ALONE!"

"I want you to sleep next to me! Why don't you want that?"

"I just don't want! it does not give me pleasure anymore! Goodnight!" she quickly kisses his lips and walks into the room, Danny sighs and goes into the bedroom.
