No Happy Ending

Cupcakes

Jessica and Danny bought some cupcakes for the kids and when they got home, the kids attacked them with questions. Jessica suggested to eat these delicious cupcakes, then talk.

"Uh, mom, this thing is not good, and who invented blue cream in cupcakes?!" David pushes the plate away.

"Mmm, I like mine! It's like a strawberry" Alicia smiles

"I have pink too!" Vivian shows her sister

Jessica and Danny look at them and laugh because they still don't understand.
David sits with a sad face looking at his cupcake, but then he realizes what's going on and hits his hands on the table, making everyone jump.

"It's a boy! And two girls?!" he looks at Jessica with wild eyes and she nods her head.

"I can play dolls with them!" Vivian jumps up and down.

"I can teach my little brother how to play football and flirt with girls!"

"David!" Jessica laughs

"Mommy, I'm so happy!" Alicia hugs her from behind.

"Thanks, honey" she puts her hand on hers

"I think they're happy too!" Danny says, looking at Vivian and David, who are already making a list of what they're gonna do with the new brother and sisters.

Jessica calls her mom while Danny calls his family.

"Hello?"

"Hey, mom! You know, I went to see a doctor today, and we're gonna have a boy and two girls!"

"Oh, Jessie, baby, I'm so happy for you! Congratulations!" Dorothy says joyfully.

"Thanks!"

"Al, come here!" Dorothy yells from the kitchen.

"Oh, mom!" Jessica takes the phone from her ear

"Sorry, honey!"

"Is that important? I'm watching football!" Albert speaks out loud.

"It's  important! Get your a..."

"Mom!"Jessica laughs

"Could you come over here, please?" she asks through her teeth.

Albert walks into the kitchen and leans on the doorway.

"Jessica found out the gender of the babies. It's a boy and two girls!"

"Omg, congratulations! Heh, we'll have two little princess granddaughters, and a prince grandson!" he says proudly

"Awe, daddy!" Jessica speaks in a shaking voice, holding back tears

"I love you both!"

"We love you too, Jessie!Congratulations again!"

"Thanks, mom! I'll call you later, bye."

"Bye"

Jessica comes into the living room and smiling.

"Well, what did your parents say?" she slowly sits down next to Danny.

"They're happy! And yours?"

"They are very very happy! Ouch, feel it!" she takes his hand and puts it on her belly where the baby is kicking.

"Whoa! Hey, you're very active today, aren't you?" Danny kisses her belly and Jessica smiles.

Now the summer is over and kids go back to school, but for Vivian it was the first day and she was excited.

"Mommy, get up! Hurry up!" Vivian gets into Jessica's room, climbs onto Her bed and starts jumping

"Mommy! We're gonna be late to school! I shouldn't be late on the first day! Omg, we have so much to do! I must be beautiful! Mommy, get up!" she shakes her.

Jessica chuckles softly in her sleep, as she heard what she says

"Honey, it's too early to get ready!" Jessica strokes her back, opening her eyes.

"But I have to get ready now to be beautiful for boys to like me!" Vivian looks at her with big eyes

"Honey, you're so beautiful and please, it's too early for you to think about boys!" Jessica kisses her, then gets out of bed.

"Look, your belly is so big! That's funny!" Vivian giggles

"Oh, really?!"

"Yeah! It's looks like a big ball!"

"Mhm, a big ball with a surprise inside!" she says, going to the bathroom.

Jessica made Breakfast and when everyone sat at the table, silence filled the kitchen.

"Well, I see you are both happy back to school!" Jessica looks at Alicia and David who are staring at their plates with a disgruntled expression.

"Mhm!"they answer at the same time and Jessica giggles.

"Mommy, I finished, can we go to school now?" Vivian smiles sweetly.

"But mom hasn't eaten, dear, so no!" she puts a toast in her mouth.

"Ooh!" Vivian sits on the chair back and sighs deeply.
