Chapter Four The Target
"Who are you?" She asked, the target was a woman!? Oh no, damn it. I let my guard down a bit.
"I'm the assassin." I said plainly as I held my sword looser. She glared at me. She was my target, she had brown hair and brown eyes, she was a women. The reason I was mad about it was it was against my job to kill women, I should have known.
"Well I am not going to die." She said as she glared me down. Oh great now I have to take her with me and give her to Sir Tybalt joy this will be. She lunged at me not keeping her footing right allowing me to easily trip her. She fell to the floor but cut me on my leg all the while.
"Lady I don't want to make this hard, just come with me." I said as I held my hand to her she swung at me with her sword. This is not going to be easy.
"No you don't lady me I am Isabelle the Princess of this land! Assassin." She spat at me, okay I have official had enough of her. She lunged at me again but I moved to the side letting my blade hit hers. This is going to be a long day.
We moved smoothly through each move, she was pretty good for a princess. I was able to get a few swipes. Only at her feet so she would fall, but she didn't she just stood and endured the pain.
"Come on give up make this simple for me." I said my eyes looking into hers as her blade went at me I stopped her easily. She smiled at me her brown eyes glistening.
"I think not." She said as she blocked a move I did at her feet.
"Guards! Help me Guards!" She yelled. My eyes grew wide as suddenly there was a lot of yelling coming from outside the door. I needed to end this fight fast. I blocked a move on her then I grabbed the sword, piercing my hand in the progress, and yanked it from her. It flew across the room hitting her bed. She looked up at me eyes full of fear.
"Time to go." I said as I grabbed some rope from my sack. I tied up her mouth first, then her feet and lastly her hands. She looked so scared it was so funny. Suddenly the door flew open guards spilling into the room.
I grabbed the princess and I flung her on my shoulders as I ran towards the open door in the room. This door led to a balcony that looked out onto the water. I ran through it with her on my back diving into the water as she was free-falling next to me. We both landed into the water as the guards yelled out of the window and began to run down here so they could get her. I grabbed her highness before she could sink and swam with the squirming body towards the shore that was close to the woods. I dragged her out then I threw her right back over my shoulder. Where she kept squirming. I was very annoyed with her.
I gave out a quick whistle as Flames rode into view. I smiled at her.
"Time to go girl." I said to Flames as I put the princess on the horse lying down then I got on right behind her. She kept squirming and it was driving me crazy.
"Let's get home before I go against my ways and kill this princess." I muttered to Flames as the princess glared at me. Great this is going to be a fun ride home.
