Chapter Eight Leaving isn't an Option
We kept right on through the night riding faster and faster through the forest trying to get away from the Witches Lair, the father the better. Till finally as the sun began to rise I stopped Flames, we were safe. I jumped off of Flames and so did the princess. I saddled her then I ran my hand through her hair.
"Well Princess this is the end of the road for me." I muttered as I put the saddle back on Flames. I could hear her stomp her foot at me.
"Umm Excuse me aren't you going to stop Sir Tybalt?" She asked as I got back on Flames. I took a deep breath as I looked back down at Isabelle with her brown long curly brown hair and even browner eyes. Her long red dress that most princesses wore actually simple yet so elegant.
"It's not my problem." I said as Flames began to trot into the woods. Isabelle kept great pace with Flames. She looked angry, though truly I didn't care.
"It is your problem it's everyone's problem!" She yelled as she reached for my sword slightly. I instantly took it out of it's case holding it still.
"Princess no it's not.....But with that what do you expect me to do?" I asked her as I looked down at her brown eyes, they didn't have a glow to them any more now it they were harsh and dead looking.
"I expect an assassin to be able to kill this man. You archer are an Assassin!" Isabelle yelled as Flames stopped trotting. I let out a deep breath, with that I jumped back off of Flames. I stood right in front of the Isabelle.
"This man, Si Tybalt, why do I need to worry about him! I need to leave that is all I need to do!" I yelled as she glared at me. I sighed as I got back on my horse. I pointed Flames the way I wanted to go, he began to trot along. I didn't hear any footsteps behind me luckily so I kept on riding. Suddenly a loud scream pierced the silence. I turned back to see someone holding Isabelle with their hand over her mouth. Oh great, now I have to save her. I noticed the man had not noticed us, I led Flames behind a tree then I got off of her.
"Stay here Flames, I'll be back." I whispered to her as I slipped on my mask. I began to climb the tree getting up the highest I could. Great just great I have to save the princess. Finally when I got high enough the tree branches were close enough that I could jump from one to the other, for which I did. I also have done this before.
Long ago, I had a job to kill an outlaw, an easy job to say the least. I followed him as he walked back to his hideout. I followed him by doing just what I am doing right now. His kill was very easy, I just used my bow and arrow and it flew through the air right into his heart. Very easy kill.
As I quickly jumped along the trees I tried to focus on the person bellow me dragging Isabelle who was tied up. Just the sight of that almost made me laugh and loose my cover. Though Isabelle wasn't helping with the glare stuck onto her face, it was hilarious! Finally, luckily after a few minutes a clearing began to come into view. I stopped as he dragged her in, the clearing held a huge campsite. Of course the princess gets captured by someone traveling with many people. Thank you Isabelle!
