Sienna
Chapter One
I put my bags in the overhead departement and sat down in my seat to settle in for the long ride. Looking at the empty row that had been assigned to me, I silently prayed that no one else would be in it. Long plane rides are bad enough without random strangers sitting by you. Unfortunately, my prayers were not answered.
"Hello, my name is Adriana." A pretty brunette with green eyes sat next to me. She stuck out her hand and I swear her smile was so white I was almost blinded.
"I'm Sienna." I grunted in response, ignoring her outstretched hand. This girl was way to friendly for me.
Suddenly a hot blonde guy appeared behind her. "Adriana, I told you to wait for me!"
Well, I could put up with Adriana if she and blondie were a package deal....
"Sorry, Ben. But I just love planes. They're so ... powerful!" Adriana apologized enthusiastically, and I wrinkled my nose in distaste. Powerful? I personally thought planes were absolutely miserable, I mean, don't even get me started on jet lag!
"Oh, sis, don't give me that crap. You're just impatient." Ben replied and slid into the seat farthest from me. What a shame.
At least they were related. At first I thought they were a couple but looking closer I could see that they had the same noses, and identical green eyes. Also, they both spoke with a heavy Swiss accent. They must be on vacation here in Britain....
I wondered what it was like in Switzerland. I guess I would find out soon enough, I was on my way to go visit my uncle in Bern. Now that I was seventeen my parents were finally letting me go see the world on my own. Up until now, I had barely been outside my hometown of London. To say I was excited would be an understatement.
Suddenly a voice came on over the speakers. "We will be taking off soon, please buckle your seat belts."
I buckled up and sat back in my seat with a contented sigh. Ignoring Adriana's attempts to start a conversation I waited until we were up in the air, then I sat back in my seat and fell asleep.
* * *
"The snack cart is coming!" A high-pitched voice woke me up and I groaned as I opened my eyes. I looked up and saw the snack cart had arrived. I asked for cookies and a sprite and ate them in silence while Adriana talked my ear off. She was so bubbly it was hard to hate her, but I did wish she would shut up.
"And just as I grabbed the bucket of tuna-" Suddenly Adriana was cut off by a voice crackling over the speakers.
"Hello, passengers, this is your pilot speaking. We are about to enter some turbulence, please buckle your seat belts and remain calm. Everything is going to be just fi-" The line cut dead and the plane shook.
It was just a bit of a shake, but I couldn't help myself. I screamed, and was embarrassed once I realized I was the only one panicking. Even Adriana and Ben were giving me weird looks.
"It will be fine, no?" Ben comforted me. "This happens all the time on planes."
I relaxed a bit. "Yeah, you're probably right. I'm sure that it's just a little storm. We'll be in Bern soon."
"Yeah, really soon." Adriana agreed. "We're already in Switzerland, so it won't be much longer!"
I lightened up a bit. "I suppose I was just overreact-AHAHAHAHAHAHGHGHGHAHAH!" I screamed again as the plane suddenly lurched.
Other passengers started screaming too as the plane shook and rumbled, sounding as if it were struggling to hold together. I felt like I was on the inside of a giant washing machine. Then, it got worse.
The plane literally dropped out of the sky like a rock, and I almost lost my stomach. As we plummeted toward the ground I barely had time to register the trees crashing through the plane and narrowly missing my row. I shuddered to think what was happening to the other passengers.
Then we hit the ground and my head jerked forward and knocked into the seat ahead of me. I saw water rushing in through some gaping holes left in the plane and realized we were lucky enough to have landed in a lake.
It was a miracle I wasn't dead. Ben, Adriana, and I were incredibly lucky. I looked at them, and we all looked unharmed. Then I looked around the plane and realized. The other passengers weren't so lucky.
I was freaking out, but Ben and Adriana both had determined looks on their faces. Must be the adrenaline. "Okay." Ben said, taking charge. "We need to get off this plane!"
"Holy crap, we're gonna die!" I moaned, putting my face in my hands. That's when Ben seemed to realize how freaked I was.
"Are you okay, Sienna?" He asked, worry apparent on his face.
"Not really." I answered truthfully, taking in my surroundings. A pine tree had broken through the plane, killing many people. Most of the windows were shattered, and the snack cart was toppled over so that it landed on some seats.
I was only seventeen, It was too much. I couldn't handle it. So I did what any person would do in the face of something completely overwhelming.
I fainted.
A/N: hey, It's Stephanie! Me and my cousin, Leah, share this account and we will be writing this story together. We'll be alternating chapters so she'll take the even chapters and I'll take the odd chapters. I hope you liked this chapter, and there will be more 1D in the next one, promise. ;D
We dedicated this to 1DOnlyYou just for being an amazing writer and we love reading her fanfictions. ;D
also, we do not own 1D, I guess? I think I'm supposed to say that for copyright purposes, so yah their characters don't belong to us, they're real people and this book is strictly fiction. However, Sienna, Ben, and Adriana do belong to me and Leah, so don't steal this idea.....OR ELSE!!!!
