Aurelia...
"Alright, we have done as you wished, and the mortal boy now knows. It is time to return home." Harry said as we left Evan's house.
"Okay, and how do we do that exactly?" I asked, awkwardly standing in front of Alex's car, as the two of them got in.
"You will head to where I have been staying. Wait for me there, and in the meantime, I shall take the Prince to say goodbye to his family here." My eyes darted to Alex, who looked very bittersweet. Although we both knew we'd be seeing our parents again, it was still hard for him, since it was so sudden. He never anticipated having to say goodbye to his parents, in order to leave for a magical world. Neither did I. He was definitely still struggling with belief as well. He could deny it all he wanted, but I could see it.
"Alright, I'll see you soon." I nodded, allowing the familiar bright light, that comes with teleporting, to blind my vision.
When I blinked, I was in Harry's oddly neat hotel room. It astonished me how organized he kept his belongings. It also made me sad though, seeing how little items he even had to keep organized. I felt sorry for him, knowing he has spent the past fourteen years looking for me. That must have been so awful, searching far and wide for a child you were meant to protect, but lost. I could never blame him though, I'm happy with how I grew up. Life could have been worse for me. Although, I can't help but wonder how my life would be if he had never lost me, how different it would be. In the short time I've come to know him, I've become very fond of the two and a half centuries old man, with sparkling green eyes. He feels like the uncle I never knew I had. I'm sure once I regain past memories of him, I'll feel even closer.
After an hour of wandering around the room, snooping at all of his things, I heard the sound of soft footsteps. Since there was no door opening that accompanied the sounds, I knew there was only one being that could be.
"Linds?" I called out into the electric hotel room. "Is that you?"
"'Tis me, Princess." She appeared in front of me with a curtsey.
"Ugh, not you, too." I groaned. "If you want me to call you Linds, you will continue to call me Aurelia, or even Rel would be awesome."
"Is that not improper? You are the first royal I have met."
"Lindsey Anne, you're my friend, first and foremost. No need for pleasantries."
"My apologies, Aurelia." She said, not taking the bait for my nickname. I guess that's fair, seeing as she still hasn't caved to Alex instead of Alexander either.
"How are you feeling?" I asked, slightly worried. I hadn't seen much of her since meeting Harry.
"I am fairing well. I have come to terms with everything I have learned." She smiled. "Do not worry, I hold no ill will over you and your prophecy. What is done has been done a long time ago."
Seeing her back to her normal self was a relief. It hurt me knowing my unknown fate had ruined her life, and had upset her. "I'm glad." I gave her a ghostly hug. We were the only ones able to touch and actually feel like it was normal. It made me unable to wait anymore for Alex.
"Where are your friends?" She asked, glancing around the room.
"My friends are your friends, and they should be here soon." I answered.
"So...you are leaving?" She looked sad. "To your land?"
My heart hurt for this poor, lonely girl. She really has been through a great deal, and has been lost for so long.
