Aurelia...
Princess Sunflower,
I miss you more than I ever thought possible. I'm glad to hear you're doing well with sword training. I just hope when the time comes, you don't have to taint your soft hands with such violence. I will fight enough for the both of us, I swear it. I also hope I don't run Will through before he finishes teaching me my magic. I can only tolerate so much of his whining and nagging. I wish I could write a longer letter, but I have an irritating guard over my shoulder, demanding I spar some more. I love you to the moon, all the way to the stars, and back again. Please stay safe and keep up the hope. I'll see you and your beautiful face soon.
Love, Prince Hot Iced Tea :)
I couldn't help but grin as I read over the words for the tenth time.
It's been two weeks since we've seen each other, since he left my Kingdom and me behind. Will had given him the idea of writing letters, since we had no Earth technology here. He promised a messenger would get the letters safely through the portal, since neither of us could leave our homes.
I was surprised to get the first letter, but I loved the idea of keeping tabs on each other through such an intimate and romantic forum. We've been writing everyday since the wind seer visited his palace. He told me what happened, but assured me everything was alright.
Luckily, neither of us had anymore strange visitors, and no one has heard anything new about this coming war. No trouble has been caused, and it's been peacefully quiet. To me, it was bordering maybe too quiet, but it was mostly just plain calm.
"Is that another love letter from your Prince Charming?" My obnoxious human friend strolled into my enchanted garden.
"Don't you have a century and three quarters old girl to bother?" I snorted, tucking the paper into my leafy bodice.
He awkwardly chuckled in response. "Shut up."
"You're blushing."
"No I'm not."
"You are."
"Am not."
"Are."
"Fine! I'm in love with the girl! You happy?!" He shouted.
"Very." I smirked.
He grumbled incoherent things and sat himself down on the grass. "You're really unbelievable."
"I'm unbelievably happy for you. You deserve love." I said honestly, taking the humor out of my voice. I meant every word. He has been through so much, and not just this past year and few months with all this crazy '13' and evil magic stuff.
"I do, don't I?" He asked sheepishly.
"You do." I confirmed.
"I don't know. I don't even know if she likes me." He looked down, fiddling with his fingers
"Oh, trust me, she does." I laughed. "All that girl does anymore is ask me about you."
"She does?" He appeared to inflate like a balloon in happiness.
I grinned. "Just as much as you ask about her."
"Shut up." He grumbled again.
"Anyways, how was home?" I asked him. He spent the past week and a half visiting New York, making sure his parents knew he was okay. Today was actually his first day back to the 13th Kingdom.
