Promise

On some days
I wonder what it is like to fly
Gliding with the birds
Cutting through the air- ever so high.

And then again
How would it feel to swim with the whale
So majestic and so grandiose
In comparison I'm but fragile and I'm frail.

I oft ponder
The distance to our nearest star
Even at its top speed, do I have
Enough hours, to reach there in my car.

Leaving those stars aside
I look inwards, in my own being
I'm bewildered,
It is not good, this what I am seeing.

I had set out on this journey
With a definite set of rules and limits
And though each and every rule I broke
Never for once trod off limits.

It is unwise now
To cry or even complain
Because I myself and no other
Am the reason to blame.

But wait wait wait
I may yet not have fame and riches
But I surely do have one thing aplenty
And with that I will burn these witches.

The greatest asset at my disposal
It is definitely not enough to cross a galaxy
But I have Time
To lead this life valiantly out of fallacy.

It is still not late, infact it's never too late,
Neither for me nor for you
I have already readjusted my route
And this time I promise to persevere and breakthrough-
Do you promise to follow the suit?!
