My Kaleidoscope

Gen Y

We are the adventurers- the Generation Y
Children whose aspirations touch the sky
Its about time and we have also woken up
Facing the world, armed with a teacup.

From the time we were babies
Swimming in rough waters of competition
Rarely getting time to act normally, be lazy
Only learnt to view- friends with suspicion.

We have our virtues, we have our faults
Always taking failures with a pinch of salt
We are the ones- born tech savvy
Using means which are at times- a bit wacky.

We are not the best of humanity
Not that we care to be the best
Dubbed by a few as- insanity
But agreed by all as different from the rest.

We have had all comforts at our footsteps
Notwithstanding, we are always full of pep
We are used to living life on the edge
Constantly turing our threats into advantage.

We are flummoxed by emotions
Some scattered here, some over there
Like in our universe- that's always in motion
Similarly, we live and we learn to care.

Akin to those before us and those yet to come
We have problems aplenty and some
But the wonder lies in that pretty smile
That we wear and take on problems- in style!
