Grabbed the keys
Fastened the seat belt
Revved up the engine
Gushes of Adrenalin I feltFrom the dull parking lot
Began a lovely bright day
Crossing many small by-lanes
I finally took the picturesque HighwayLeaving the urban landscape behind
And the pressure and the tension
I drove along
As if into some disparate dimensionNo speed limits to follow
Wind is my only mate and competitor there
Paroxysms of freedom abound
That ain't a place for fearCountless trees and hours passed by
Forward was the way I had to go
Until I reached the iron bridge
Beneath which still an ancient river flowsAlas! From here I had to return home
Back to the city, the chaos, the noise
I wished to continue on that dreamy road
But not all possess the luxury of choiceBut again, when I've time at my disposal
And when I'm free to do things my way
Rest assured I'll surely come back
Once more on this oneiric Highway
