ivy woke up from her sleep in an instant. she didn't realize she have been crying this entire time

she turned on her phone to check the time.

3:00 am

as she stared at her phone, she looked at her lockscreen. it was a picture of hyunjin laughing when they were eating ice cream at the park. ivy smiled at the memory but she still felt sad

these past few days, hyunjin has been staying out late and he hasn't come home often. ivy doesn't want to think negatively, but sometimes she can't help it

as negative thoughts clouded her mind, ivy started crying wondering what would she do if they were true

as ivy was crying, the door opened and popped in hyunjin

he quickly ran over to ivy and hugged her

'hey hey it's okay. i'm here' he whispered soothingly in her ear, hoping it would calm her down

hyunjin was rubbing his palm over ivy's back because she has always found that comforting

when ivy calmed down, hyunjin cuddled with her and he continued to whisper soothing, reassuring words to her

he was going to ask her what happened but as ivy was sleeping in his arms, hyunjin thought about what's been going on and he realized he hasn't been home very often which probably worried ivy

he'll ask her about it tomorrow morning. but for now, hyunjin cuddled up to ivy and he slept with his face buried in her neck and his arms swung over her waist, with their hands holding each other's
