ALDEN's POV
Ampota bahay ko naman to, it's my place and even it's my plan to bring her here pero shemay siomai ako pa tong kabang kaba!
"Hindi ba masarap ang niluto ko?" it was my lola who broke the silence
We are in the middle of our early dinner due to the sudden complete attendance of my family.
It's like what? 6:30pm
"Ay, masarap po. Namiss ko nga po ang lola ko dahil sa luto niyo salamat po"
Maine, the good of hers as always that what I thought of the reason of me wanting to know her more
"Ikaw naman Ricardo Junior" my lolo used to call me that name para asarin ako sa itsura o sa ginagawa ko, but not today lolo. I heard Maine's soft laugh "Ayaw mo ba ng luto ng lola mo ha?"
"Ay.. lolo e, syempre po gusto I never disliked naman yung luto ni lola"
"Eh ano pala? Kabado?"
Wow daddy! Daddy sayo pa talaga galing huh? Kala ko naman kaw magtatanggol sakin huhu
But before I could answer, I was caught off guard, when I heard my family is laughing. They are having a good laugh with her, with Nicomaine.
Under the table I search for her hand. And when I finally reached it, hinawakan ko yun at napatingin naman siya saakin.
She smile and nodded.
"Ay talaga?"
"Oo ate" I hear Riza calling her ate "May pictures pa ako nun, pakita ko sayo mamaya"
I was lost, so lost of their topic because I was too busy remembering every lines on her hands, I was too busy looking at her smile in her eyes where I saw what is I'm having now.
"You win it bigtime" bulong saakin ni dad, he was sitting at the middle of our rectangular 8 sitter dining table.
This 8 sitter dining never had been this full and complete, but now. And I think from now on it will be always full and complete. Maine completes the missing part of this dining table, like how she completes the missing part of me.
Their kwentuhan lasted for hours in the salas after we finished our dinner, it's getting late I need to take Maine away for awhile
"You're family is so great Rj" she says while panting
"You want some water?"
"No, I'm fine" she breathe in and breathe out "I'm totally good"
"I told you, they'll liked you"
"No Rj, scratch that" sabi niya at naupo sa park bench na pinalagay ko out of no reason na now I know why I ask daddy to put a park bench in the garden, so dati pa pala I'm preparing myself of her coming "I like your family Rj, thank you for bringing me here"
"I see and I know" sabi ko sakanya and I move closer
"Maine"
"Hmmmm"
"Thank you"
From looking at the sky, she turns and looks at me with her beautiful kunot na noo.
"Thank you? For what? I didn't do anything; I just come over with you"
"Ayun, thank you for coming over, kahit na pilit at hindi mo naman alam na dito pala tayo pupunta sumama ka pa din"
"Kasi nga di mo sinabi hahaha I didn't see this one coming as early as earlier. Hindi ako naorient Rj, pero kung sinabi mo baka sumama din naman ako"
