Tyra POV

"I mean, I don't think he needed the money anyways. If he did, he wouldn't have left it in the most obvious place." Some guy said as I waited at the bus stop. He looked quite familiar but I never knew where I'd seen him from. I know he was in one of the local gangs, but which one it was, I don't know.

"Ray's gonna kill you when he finds out you stole from him." His concerned friend said.

"It wasn't that much. He won't notice. "

"Bruh, 1,476 dollars isn't a lot?"

"No." The guy said. He looked down at me and smirked. He took a seat next to me and brushed his hand on my leg. I slapped it away and crossed them.

"What? Not ready?" He chuckled and looked at his friend. "She not ready, Dominic."

Dominic chuckled and shook his head. "Nah, chill. That's Ray's girl."

The guy laughed and slapped his knee. "Good one. Tell another joke."

What was that supposed to mean?

"And why is that?" I piped up, tilting my head and raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing... Just that Ray doesn't usually settle down with girls like you."

Girls like me?

"What the hell does that mean?" I raised my voice a little.

"I suggest you watch your fucking tone." The guy said. "And I mean he doesn't settle down with innocent looking girls."

I was seriously confused and to be honest, I was starting to be pissed off.

"Whatever." I huffed, crossing my arms.

"Just know, if Ray knows I took his money, it'll be you who I'm after." He threatened.

"Come on, Ant. She not ready." Dominic said.

Ant nodded and glared at me before reluctantly standing and walking away. I noticed him counting his money and sneaking a few glances towards me. His glare made me more uncomfortable than when he was here with me.

As the bus rolled up, I stood from my seat and made my way towards the door. As I was about to climb in, a male voice called my name - making me stop. I looked around to see Ray's friend, Chresanto, sitting in a red car with Mickie. Mickie was eating something, as always.

"Come." He waved over enthusiastically.

I waved to the driver of the bus and waited for the bus to pull off before looking both ways and crossing the street.

"Get in girl," Mickie said. "We're going for a ride."

I hopped in without any problem and strapped up in the topless Corvette.

"Supermarket." I said after Chresanto asked me where I was headed. Normally I'd take Tyler's car to the supermarket, but it's been in the shop for a while getting repaired thanks to his reckless driving.

While on the way, Chresanto and Mickie talked about random stuff, barely acknowledging my presence until we pulled up to a traffic light about three blocks from our destination.

"So, what's up with you and Ray?" Chresanto asked.

I shrugged. "I dunno. What have you heard?"

He shrugged and looked to Mickie. She shrunk in her seat and focused on her phone.

"Mickie..." I uneasily said. "Huh?" She played dumb.

"What did you say?" I asked as Chresanto pulled into the parking lot of the supermarket.

"That you and Ray were boyfriend-girlfriend and were madly in love." She nervously said.

I laughed and shook my head. "That's not true." I told Chresanto. "And I'll be handling you later, Ms. Mickie." Mickie blushed and nodded.

"Bye. Tyray."

I glared at her and shook my head. She giggled and waved goodbye as Chresanto pulled off. He honked be goodbye and flicked off a guy in a Ford SUV.

"Hello, Tyra." Ray bit his lip as he rung up my items.

"Hey, Ray." I blushed. "When do you get off?" I asked.

He shrugged. "About an hour or so. Why?" He asked.

"I needed a ride home, but I'll just take the bus." I waved it off. Ray shook his head and opened the register.

"Nah. I got you. I'll have Jacob come get you."

"Are you sure?" I asked. " I don't want to--"

"Don't worry about it. I got this." He said, mocking George Lopez. I allowed a small chuckle to escape my lips. Ray's eyes seemed to light up at that sound but I let it slide.

"I really appreciate it." I said. He nodded and texted who I assumed to be Jacob.

"Oh," I said before walking away. "Did anyone steal your money?" I asked.

He uneasily nodded and raised an eyebrow. "How did you know that"

"I heard these guys talking at the bus stop. Ant and Dominic. Ant was bragging about it."

I noticed Ray's jaw tighten and his nostrils flare. He slammed the register closed and closed his lane before going to the back. Instead of waiting for him, I just walked out and went to the parking lot to wait for the ride Ray called for me.

Ray came out and hopped in Jacob's car and called me in. Throughout the ride, they talked in code and Ray guided the way to my house.

"All I'm saying is, somebody's getting they ass beat."

As they pulled up to my house, I got out the car and waved to Ray. I noticed a silver item in his lap along with small bronze objects. I couldn't thoroughly point out what it was but by the looks of it and how he cared with it, especially with his temper rising, I knew that whatever he was about to do wouldn't be good.

An uneasy feeling in my gut forced me to look away before Ray saw me shed a tear. Why was a crying? Because I had reasons to believe he was in a gang, or related to gang violence in some way and that the silver and bronze in his lap was a gun and bullets.

Wellllllllllllllllll I babbled in this chapter.... butttttttttt Tyra ya got ya shit. enjoy
